What you'll do as a Caregiver:
Provide compassionate, in-home support to help seniors live independently

What we look for in a Caregiver:

We are seeking a dependable, kind, and experienced weekend caregiver for a warm and lovely 97-year-old woman, Martha ("Marte"), who lives in her Oakmont home with her daughter. This is a meaningful opportunity for a caregiver who is attentive, proactive, and committed to compassionate care.
About the Client:
Martha is living with Alzheimer's Disease, Atrial Fibrillation, and Congestive Heart Failure. She uses a walker and requires assistance with incontinence care, personal hygiene, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. She enjoys music, short conversations, naps after breakfast, and a structured daily routine.
She is supported by a loving family and has two cats, so pet-friendliness is a must. The home is peaceful and caregiving expectations are clear, thanks to her daughter who is actively involved.
Key Responsibilities:
Companionship & Emotional Support
Medication Reminders - Morning meds must be taken 30 minutes before breakfast, with additional medication at breakfast and dinner (pill organizer provided).
Meal Preparation - Prepare and serve light, nutritious meals.
Incontinence Care - Encourage bathroom trips, check Depends for dampness, and assist with cleanup if needed.
Mobility Support - Encourage movement and make sure Martha uses her walker.
Daily Weight Checks
Light Housekeeping - Including sweeping the deck, doing laundry (including bed sheets), and general tidying.
TV Assistance - Ask daughter to turn it on if Martha wants to watch.
Hydration Support - Encourage regular non-caffeinated fluid intake.
Personal Care Assistance - Including grooming, changing clothes, brushing teeth, and bedtime routines.

Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of two years in an office managerial setting
Home Care industry experience preferred
Bilingual fluency is desirable
Ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with callers and internal staff

About the Client:
You'll be supporting a warm, welcoming female client who lives with her small dog, Georgie. The client enjoys light conversation and companionship but also values quiet time to rest during the day. She sometimes works from home and has occasional clients/visitors.
Main Duties:
Companionship and light conversation
Walking and caring for her small dog (feeding, water bowl, short walks)
Light housekeeping: vacuuming, kitchen tidy-up, laundry, bed making, changing linens
Encouraging fluids and assisting with simple meal prep (as needed)
Memory care prompts (as needed)
Supporting use of CPAP/oxygen equipment (reminders, refilling water chamber)
Occasional errands or transportation in client's car (rare)
Helping organize paperwork and light office tasks
Ideal Candidate:
Kind, patient, reliable, and proactive
Comfortable around small dogs
Experience with seniors, memory care, and light household duties
Valid driver's license preferred
A few must-haves for Caregiver Aides:
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Active Caregiver (HCA) registration in California
Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
CPR certification or ability to obtain
Valid CA driver's license, auto insurance and transportation
Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 30 pounds
