Overview of the Design Studio Specialist role You will inspire customers to express themselves in their home. You will bring the shopping experience to a seamless close as you assist customers and complete sales at the cash wrap. You will promote continued customer engagement and give customers a reason to stay connected with our Brand. Responsibilities * Utilize design expertise to assist clients in one on one consultations in the store and in-home regarding the design of their living spaces to drive store sales * Perform productive in-home consultations including the ability to accurately measure and assess the client's living space * Create and present design plans based on client's needs, style, preferences and living space * Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions in order to achieve and exceed established sales and productivity goals * Utilizing exemplary World class service standards assist customers with special services including: gift wrap, gift registry, locating merchandise, catalog/internet orders, special orders, back orders, charge sends, courier deliveries, and furniture orders * Demonstrate superior product knowledge, including features and benefits of the entire design studio assortment Criteria * Strong communication, clienteling and customer follow-up skills * Ability to complete and coordinate complex large orders within a variety of sales channels * Experience in working with the elements of design preferred * Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously * 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience, (specialty retail preferred, but not required) Physical Requirements * Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time * Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques * Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business. * Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, including two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Friday). Associates must be available for annual inventory and entire holiday season (November and December). Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Saturday and Sunday). As a Physical Designer, you will be working in a project team environment with engineers and other designers involved in high and extra high voltage substation design. Responsibilities will include the preparation of the following substation and/or telecommunication drawings: Substation General Arrangement Substation Electrical Equipment Plans Substation Section Views (Elevations) Substation Detailed Bill of Material Substation Lightning Stroke Shielding Plan Substation Grounding Plan Substation Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details Substation Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Section Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop network architecture designs based on TDM, SONET, IP / MPLS and other relevant standards Prepare network and channel diagrams and perform timing studies Design fail safe systems with path & equipment redundancies & diversity to serve mission-critical operations with extreme reliability Interpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverables. Performing walkdowns at client facilities. Applying Client's standards related to the work. Mentoring other designers and drafters. This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week. Qualifications We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of telecommunication and/or substation physical design experience. Qualifications also include the following: An Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience. Advanced knowledge of computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD and/or MicroStation). Ability to visualize Equipment Details, Phase to Ground and Phase to Phase Clearances. Telecommunications project or systems design experience in radio, fiber optics and/or network engineering. Ability to multi-task from project to project. Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (speak, read, and write). Valued Knowledge/Skills: An Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design. Familiarity with Bentley Substation Design. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.
