We're seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead all interior design efforts across Signature's commercial projects and the residential division. This role will oversee finish selections, space planning, and design direction for single-family homes, including custom and semi-custom builds, while also managing the full interior scope for our commercial and multifamily projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-driven, and confident working directly with clients, project managers, vendors, and leadership to deliver cohesive, well-executed designs that elevate the Signature brand.
Responsibilities
Own entire design and selections process for commercial, multifamily, and single-family projects, to include selecting materials, colors, and fixtures for interior and exterior design elements
Provide input on residential floorplan layouts from a design perspective
Create and maintain attractive design packages for home construction
Guide clients through the design and selections process for built-to-order homes and customs through in-person meetings
Create policies and procedures to systematize the Signature design process
Value engineer interior selections to minimize cost
Set appropriate finish allowances for projects of varying scope
Maintain library of materials and products for selections
Produce marketing materials to reflect interior finishes for use by the Sales Department (ex: “mood boards”)
Manage staging furniture purchasing and installation for all communities
Research and follow industry trends and best practices
Requirements
5+ years preferred experience in decorating interior spaces (Commercial, Multifamily, or Residential)
Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, staging furniture and all installations
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, Revit or other design programs
Excellent portfolio of previous works
Communication, presentation, and project management skills
BS degree in Interior Design or similar
