This role is best suited for someone who is:
Experienced in producing working construction drawings using the latest AutoCAD software. Revit experience is a plus but not required. The position will require setting up new project drawings, formatting existing as well as drafting new base plans from as-built site measurements, and compiling relevant project detail, section, wall section and schedule sheets for design projects.
Seeking more than simply picking up red-lines from design staff, but also familiar with building and drafting standards and brings insight and experience to assist in design development and drawing production.
Willing to travel. Paradigm has a proven record and significant future project backlog in VA Medical Center projects across the nation, requiring design staff to travel periodically to perform as-built site verification, measurements and design/construction progress meetings. The applicant should be willing to assist design staff in on-site activities, with trips usually only lasting one day on site. GSA reimbursement applies to all travel.
Able to self-manage, self-teach and work independently of constant oversight. Position will be a mix of in-office work, remote work (home or other), and requires coordination with designers and engineers across all of Paradigm's offices.

Base Pay This role has a minimum base pay from $15.24 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience. Purpose: Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. At Floor & Decor Designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their project needs, educating them on all that is required for their project, and building a creative design concept that incorporates the customers personal style, lifestyle, and budget.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
* Minimum of One (1) year of interiordesign experience or prior retail/sales experience
* Degree in Design is a plus
* Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
* Proficient in basic mathematical skills
* Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
* Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
* Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position
Essential Functions
* Greet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needs
* Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store
* Providing tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interiordesigners, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.
* Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions
* Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others. Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are required
* Collaborate, partner and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goals
* Enthusiastically support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees
* Engage in current and emerging design trends in your market
* Responsible for understanding and utilizing design applications i.e.; Salesforce, proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProject
* Perform other duties as assigned
