Requirements
* Education: Completion of accredited professional degree program with a Bachelors degree or Masters degree in architecture, or equivalent in appropriate education and experience
* Experience: Entry level position and applies to new graduates and individuals with up to 3 years' experience; Internships/summer experience is a plus
* License/Certification: None
* Basic knowledge of design of architectural systems, construction documentation and associated technology
* Demonstrates a high degree of aptitude in critical, creative thinking associated with design and the design process
* Basic understanding of architectural specifications, international building codes, life safety code and current ADA requirements.
* Knowledge of programming, planning, and building performance is beneficial
* Motivated and creative professional

About the Role:
The Design & Drafting Technician Intern will work closely with engineers and CAD technicians to develop detailed design drawings and project documentation. This internship provides exposure to real-world drafting practices and the technical skills needed in civil design.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Update and revise design plans based on engineering redlines and field data
Organize and maintain drawing files, project folders, and plan sets
Support preparation of exhibits for client meetings and project submissions
Learn industry drafting standards and best practices for accuracy and quality
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a drafting, engineering technology, or civil engineering program
Coursework or experience in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D preferred
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical directions
Interest in pursuing a career in civil design and drafting
