As a member of our Infrastructure and Services Group, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: - Designing systems ranging from basic to highly complex to meet client needs. This includes HVAC master planning and studies, HVAC and plumbing systems, mechanical systems such as co-generation, and centralized energy systems. The role also involves implementing energy efficiency improvements for large campus environments-including manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and water systems-focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building initiatives. - Performing other duties as required such as heating/cooling load calculations, duct/pipe sizing, equipment selections, system layouts, and coordination with other design disciplines. - Developing detailed energy models and Life Cycle Cost Analysis for various building types. - Performing Level 1 through 3 energy audits to assess energy consumption, evaluate HVAC performance, identify high-energy loads, and propose energy-saving measures. - Performing site surveys, developing equipment inventories, evaluating proposed energy efficiency measures, and recommending improvements. - Collaborating with sales staff to develop proposals in response to current and prospective client requests for proposals (RFPs). Reviewing draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local, and federal regulations and best practices.
