This role is responsible for translating engineering requirements and conceptual definitions into accurate, fit-for-purpose drawings, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Responsibilities Technical Expertise Interpret flow diagrams, design packs, and conceptual designs to prepare engineering drawings. Modify and update drawings to suit client, engineer, and internal team requirements. Manage drawing integration and interface with multi-discipline design teams. Apply working knowledge of Autodesk software (including 3D) and VAULT workflows. Adhere to drawing office standards and procedures. Maintain awareness of safety in design and applicable design codes and standards. Operational Management Deliver drawings within project schedules and allocated man-hour budgets. Ensure high-quality, self-checked deliverables with minimal errors. Follow internal QA/QC and document control procedures, including use of BIM-DOCS for coordination. Communication & Collaboration Interpret and action direction from Design Office Leads. Escalate issues or design changes proactively. Maintain clear handover and communication across disciplines. What You Will Do We are looking for aspiring Electrical Engineers to support the following areas: Component Engineers ensuring cost effective and robust parts are used to ensure successful products, by selecting, specifying, and determining application adherence for electrical components. ECAD Engineers solving the PCB board layout puzzle from R&D through full production level designs. Product Development Engineers taking the electronic database representation of the design and turning it into tangible reality. PDE's steward the creation of the PCBs and resulting CCAs. PDE's interface with PCB and CCA manufacturers resolving any technical issues that arise in the manufacturing process. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop: Component risk and verification data packages that will support component selections and provide justification to program customers. Component Engineers will identify parts to be included on the preferred parts list, drive usage of these standardized parts, provide recommendations to mitigate obsolescence issues, and identify solutions to meet customer component requirements. The ECAD designer is responsible for creating and documenting the characteristics of a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design from conception to manufacturing. This process includes library part creation, schematic capture, component placement, routing, gerber / ODB++ file creation, and all documentation using the Mentor Graphics and BluePrint toolsets. In addition, the ECAD designer will be responsible for interfacing with the electrical, mechanical, and producibility engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured and accomplished. PDE responsibilities include supporting the Digital, RF and Power Products (DRP) Team design community as the affordability, manufacturability, and producibility for all Missile Programs. Tasks include involvement in digital, analog, and RF design projects from initial bill-of-material selection through Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and subsystem assembly including resolution on all technical and supplier related issues. Throughout the product lifecycle the Product Development Engineer (PDE) follows our Integrated Product Development System to create an affordable, producible, and highly reliable design that meets the program's delivery and milestones needs.
