We seek a Senior Interior Designer for luxurious hospitality projects who will be responsible for collaborating with the CCO, VP of Design, and Directors of Design in the creation, execution, oversight, and documentation of a project's comprehensive interiors scheme, involving the coordination of interior architecture, space programming, space planning, FF&E and color/materials. The Senior Designer supports the Directors, Design with the design, selection, and specification of all furnishings, fixtures, and finishes (custom or commercially available) and is responsible for understanding the creative, technical, budgetary, operational, and design document coordination accountability for all facets of the interior FF&E package. The Senior Designer leads the development and interdisciplinary coordination of all design documents and specifications to ensure the highest quality of design representation for use and coordination by the entire project team.
Qualifications
Bachelors/Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction or Project Management from an accredited academic institution
8-12 years of design and/or project management and/or experience with leading design teams, including 5-7 years of experience in significant hospitality and/or entertainment-related design projects
A portfolio of work demonstrating abilities
Recently completed (within the past 24 months) significant resort hospitality projects through construction administration with field and project closeout experience
International project and/or client experience within the past three years preferred
Four and/or Five Star resort hospitality or residential experience preferred
Strong previous peer consultant relationships based on successful project experience and trust preferred
Compliance with all Company brand training requirements, including completion of WE Lead in its entirety and within the designated timeframe.
Expert Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Spexx or Similar
Intermediate proficiency in AutoDesk Form IT, Sketchup, Consultant Management, Master-Planning, Microsoft Project/Primavera, Sketchup
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or newer, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, Hand Sketches, Procore/BIM360/PlanGrid/Other, REVIT 2018 or Newer, Space Planning
Articulate and effective communicator with the ability to direct and coordinate the work of others.
Design sensitive, have finely tuned aesthetic sensibilities, and have a broad design vocabulary in order to support high-profile clients, high-caliber design teams, and high-end design projects with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to comprehend and review hotel operations program narratives, understand fundamentals of space planning and adjacencies, and be able to ensure adherence to overall program parameters as defined by the CCO.
Ability to communicate visually through excellent drawing ability, illustration, and descriptive writing.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Responsible for all Show lighting design and creative integration with the scenic, visual content and look and feel of the client or event brand.
Deliver innovative, visually stunning lighting designs that enhance the dramatic narrative for theatre and optimize visual quality for broadcast, streaming, in multi-camera environments, and in post-event content.
Develop and oversee lighting system's technical and artistic direction, focusing on artistic interpretation, and meticulously managing color temperature, light levels, and CRI for optimal camera looks.
Lead the lighting design process, guiding the team in developing detailed light plots, cue sheets for the Stage Manager and others, and comprehensive cue stacks for live stage work, plus define clear key, fill, and back light setups for principal broadcast positions.
Contribute supporting input on scenic/production design elements critical for achieving theatrical effects and managing light spill/reflectivity for the camera. This includes collaborating with the Media Producer for scenic media.
Lead execution, guiding the team through fixture preparation, and artistic focusing, and working with the Lighting vendors to confirm they are managing the technical integrity of the rig for consistent, flicker-free performance across both mediums.
Attend site surveys and from that create the lighting bid package, coordinate the shop prep and direct the pre-light/pre-vis programming.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead and mentor a high-performing technical team, including the Master Electrician, Lighting Programmer-and, when required, Gaffers familiar with both stage and studio practices-for the install, focus and programming,
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages technical mastery and understanding the distinct needs of lighting for the eye versus lighting for the lens.
Provide constructive feedback on technical theatre practices, artistic interpretation, and the smooth transition between stage looks and broadcast-ready lighting.
Offer guidance on ensuring high-quality broadcast lighting levels and fixture placement that respects theatrical aesthetics.
Client Relationship Management
Work in concert with the rest of the Live Production and Broadcasting team onsite and those working remotely, and specifically build and maintain strong relationships with the Director, Producer, Stage Management, and Camera/Video Engineers, acting as the primary point of contact for all illumination requirements.
Proactively address creative and technical challenges related to fixture reliability, complex light states, and solving issues that affect camera exposure, color fidelity, and performer visibility on both stage and screen.
Present detailed lighting plots, visualizations, and cue descriptions to stakeholders, communicating artistic intent and technical compliance for both live audiences and recording platforms.
Business Development
Contribute to new business opportunities by showcasing the company's high-caliber design portfolio in sophisticated theatrical lighting and professional, high-definition broadcast/streaming environments.
Stay abreast of industry trends in new theatrical LED fixtures, automated lighting control systems, and high-CRI fixtures engineered for video capture.

Your Role

Your Role
As a Gensler Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. What You Will Do
* Utilize your experience to perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation
* Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
* Creates initial concept packages with a strong design story, to guide the design process through project completion
* Conducts programming efforts through space planning studies to arrive at final approved plan that meet the goals of clients
* Sculpts interior spaces as a holistic experience including specification of furniture, lighting, artwork and finishes/materials
* Leads day-to-day project coordination efforts with the ability to prioritize deadlines, manage communication and coordination with clients and consultants
* Communicates conceptual design ideas through 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
* Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
* Participates in the construction administration of projects - including review of submittals and finish samples as well as value engineering efforts to maintain design intent
Your Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program
* 5 - 8 years of interior design experience
* NCIDQ or CID Certification required
* LEED Accreditation a plus
* Proficient in SketchUp and Revit
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
* Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
* Rendering and visual communication skills are highly valued
* Passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient Detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables
