Responsibilities:
Dispatch multiple drivers - meeting cycle times and proactively planning. Maximize revenue per load, per day. Confirming all driver have the proper equipment, paperwork, credentials and keys. Communicates dispatch instructions and expectations to drivers. Communicates driver issues to supervisors and management and assists with resolution. Perform prompt and accurate data entry and request required paperwork. Provide leadership, accountability and support to assigned drivers. Meet and exceed company established KPI's, monitoring on-time performance. Adhere to company, state and federal DOT/OSHA requirements. Provide customer support as needed, answering questions and addressing needs. Ensuring drivers come to work on time. Following drivers routes and watching cameras, making sure they are practicing safe habits. Ensuring drivers are picking up right trailer numbers.

Experienced in transportation and logistics. Experienced in ports/drayage operations. Geographical knowledge of Charleston and surrounding locations. The Intermodal Dispatcher is responsible for the planning, scheduling and dispatching of our customers freight. The role owns the relationship with our valued Independent Contractors and is instrumental in the successful coordination of the timely and accurate delivery of goods. The key responsibilities of this function are to provide exceptional support to our drivers, be quick to respond to questions and troubleshooting concerns and to pro-actively monitor the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the coordination, scheduling, dispatching and planning of customer freight shipments
* Act as the main point of contact for all driver facing communication via phone, Qualcomm and E-mail
* Develop a strong relationship with Independent Contractors within assigned fleet
* Offer exceptional support to drivers to ensure that their professional needs are being met
* Monitor shipments throughout transit in order to effectively meet delivery schedules
* Respond to customers efficiently, thoroughly, and professionally
* Manage customer and driver expectations to align with operational capabilities
