The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. The Clinic RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. As an Activities Therapist, you will help improve outcomes for pediatric patients through comprehensive therapeutic interventions. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working a day/evening rotation varying between 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
* Provide Therapeutic Programming assessments, written treatment plans, programming and ongoing notes in conjunction with the overall treatment objectives for each patient.
* Design, research and implement therapeutic interventions to address designated patient needs.
* Assess and document patient's attendance and evaluate participation in therapeutic interventions.
* Attend and contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate appropriately within the interdisciplinary team throughout treatment regarding patient progress.
* Demonstrate effective group leadership skills in the treatment of patients and adapt groups (task, environment, time, location) to meet changing patient or staff needs.
* Complete routine paperwork within prescribed time frames and accurately document all pertinent and meaningful observations and information on appropriate forms.
* Adhere to general expectations for all employees to ensure the program functions effectively to meet the treatment needs of patients.
* Maintain the confidentiality of patients, staff and the hospital by respecting patients' rights and dignity.
* Act as a change agent in introducing new clinical information to the hospital.
* Practice within the appropriate scope of practice and engage in clinical supervision if required (ATR-P).
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy, Art Therapy, and/or Expressive Therapy
* Master's Degree for Art Therapy candidates
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and WELLE De-escalation training within 90 days of hire

Formal fellowship training in Body or Breast Imaging is preferred, but can be offset with experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with general and procedural radiology. Special expertise in mammography is highly desired. This position does NOT require evening or overnight rotations.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technicians use specialized equipment and processes to monitor a patient's nervous system activity. They set up, perform, and monitor EEG tests which record the electrical activity of a patient's brain over time. EEG Technicians work under the supervision of epileptologists, neurologists, or other doctors. By performing bedside EEG monitoring in this role, you will help to create specialized diagnoses to assist in creating patient care plans as well as help to manage patients with chronic conditions. Caregivers in this role often feel fulfilled and valued for their work and feel as though they are able to make a positive change. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 4:30PM, with on-call requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
* Perform electroencephalographic examinations.
* Select predetermined electrode combinations (montages) to obtain recordings, recognize artifacts and take appropriate steps to eliminate them.
* Monitor on the same apparatus, other variables such as electromyograms, electrocardiograms, electro-oculograms, respiration, etc.
