Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT.
* American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT).
* Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).

Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine. A caregiver in this position works Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
* Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
* Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
* Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
* Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
* Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
* Maintain documentation.
* Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
* Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients and process billing.
* Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires and Radiology students.
* Potentially rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites and/or locations.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
* Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
* Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
* Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
