Pros of working at Intermountain Healthcare

there are alot of locations to work at

Cons of working at Intermountain Healthcare

HR is not here to help you its here to protect the company so if you have a complaint more then likely you, yourself will get in trouble. During covid I was told I could loose my job if I didnt "Volunteer" at the Hospitals. It impossible to get an actually helpful raise. Instead of bonuses they love to give out donuts or presents to show they "appreciate" employees

Intermountain Healthcare benefits

the health insurance is decent.

What do you like best about Intermountain Healthcare's CEO and the leadership team?

nothing

How would you improve Intermountain Healthcare's culture?

actual pay people what they are worth and listen to people who are here to advocate for patients so they can help improve the company

How did you prepare for the Intermountain Healthcare interview?

I did an internship so my interview was in a way a working for free interview

How does your compensation at Intermountain Healthcare compare to the industry average?

lower end and management refused to negotiate raises even after managing others in my same field and training multiple clinics on clinical processes and computer programs

What's the diversity at Intermountain Healthcare like?

there isn't that much actual diversity but they like to say they do

What brings you the most joy at Intermountain Healthcare?

helping people get back to top health to live their lives the way they want to without being constantly worried about there health

Pros of working at Intermountain Healthcare

Great environment; good benefits - 401k,pension,etc. Co-workers

Cons of working at Intermountain Healthcare

Managment - Honestly, we have 4 directors, 2 managers and 1 supervisor for our department. We have @ 60 people in the department. 10 years ago we had 1 director and 1 supervisor. Same amount of staff. Nothings changed for the front-line support except all the directors trying to reinvent the wheel. We're not sure what they even do everyday because they didn't exist 10 yeara ago and the works stayed the same.

Pros of working at Intermountain Healthcare

The management of my particular apartment is wonderful. They’re always respectful in conversation.

Cons of working at Intermountain Healthcare

They don’t seem to value education if you’ve already obtained it (I.e. you start out with the same salary as someone who has no degree even if you have one). Also raises are not great.

Intermountain Healthcare benefits

Health insurance + the option to deposit into your HSA each check is very nice.

Pros of working at Intermountain Healthcare

People I work with on day to day basis, ability to advance. Used to have great reputation in the community

Cons of working at Intermountain Healthcare

The changes that happening in the last 7 years are not compatible with my personal values . The company treats employees who disagree/question the changes, as they are easily replaceable and the door is open for them to leave

Pros of working at Intermountain Healthcare

Great with a flexible schedule.

Cons of working at Intermountain Healthcare

There were many changes made that would help the upper level management but not the employees. (i.e. the company stopped matching 401k for a little while)

Intermountain Healthcare benefits

I could do additional, optional trainings and get gift cards to stores/restaurants upon completion.
