What is important is to not just list these skills, though, but to provide specific examples, effectively showing these skills in action. Many of these so-called soft skills can be strengthened and give applicants an edge if they also possess some of the more "hard skills" (technical training or skills required for a specific job).

In the case of the pandemic, especially for Communication majors, the ability to effectively manage an online/virtual meeting will be important.
