Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Director Food, Safety, Quality & Regulatory working hybrid out of our corporate headquarters in Bloomington, MN. This position provides strategic leadership and direction within the Food, Safety, Quality and Regulatory team. While it has a significant number of within-department responsibilities, it also works with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality and safe products to restaurants, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead select corporate responsibility initiatives.
Key Accountabilities Include:
Food Safety and Quality
Leads and directs strategic development, improvement, implementation, execution, measurement and communication of risk-based quality and food safety programs, tools and outcomes that are designed to deliver safe and high-quality food for Dairy Queen business lines. Key areas of responsibility within this accountability include:
Vendor, product (food, packaging, and chemicals), commissary and warehouse qualification, onboarding, compliance, risk assessment and management
Specification compliance - tools, measurement, reporting, trends, feedback and continuous improvement
Issue resolution: Proactively and reactively monitor, manage and communicate quality and food safety issues (complaint response, holds, withdrawals, recalls, recovery, crises, guest incidents), including determining root cause analysis
Food Safety Modernization Act 204 compliance lead for warehouses, suppliers, and DQ restaurants
Identifies trends and applies advanced technical knowledge and skills to solve problems develop corrective actions for on-going supplier quality issues related to product manufacturing and quality control.
Work with Product Development, Legal and Supply Chain to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective and compliant to all laws/regulations required
Technical problem solving
Partnership with Product Development during development and test phase
Relationship Building and Communication
Develops positive cross functional (within IDQ) and external relationships (suppliers, government, industry associations, industry leaders) that generate strategic direction, business solutions, create trust, and help develop future department strategies that align with the evolving business.
Identifies situations that warrant communication and promptly and effectively communicates need-to-know FSQR items to internal and external stakeholders
Team and Department Leadership
Develops strategies and team & department goals that align with department mission and business goals

Restaurant Food Safety (as assigned)
Directs team members to or as a contributor, monitors and interprets restaurant regulatory and food safety changes (e.g., Food Code, nutrition, etc.) and communicates to and collaborates with internal stakeholders on solutions. May be asked to lead compliance projects.
Partners with CSS and other stakeholders to review and improve restaurant HACCP program
Corporate responsibility (as assigned)
Work with internal stakeholders and lead (where assigned) corporate responsibility initiatives. May include creation of strategies, implementation, execution, project management and report
The US national base salary range for this position is $128,841 - $161,052. This position is also eligible for a bonus. The base salary range displayed reflects the targeted hiring range for positions across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, work location and relevant education or experience.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
B.S. Degree in food science or closely related field
Must have 8-10 years of experience in quality management and food safety. ·
Minimum of three years of experience managing employees required. ·
Ideally has experience working within a franchisor organization, preferably a QSR brand.

Job Description
Support the development of new food and treat prototype concepts for both domestic and international markets. Generate and implement prototype designs working with external consulting vendors and responding to inquiries from outside parties regarding application of design finishes and elements, sourcing of materials, and other matters pertinent to the timely completion of projects. Develop a new departmental BIM standard, building, developing, a Revit template, prototypes, and families from existing AutoCAD prototypes. Manage prototype file in creation and access in both AutoCAD and Revit formats to enable internal team members to share with external parties (architects/engineers) as part of new store development growth. Create project feasibility sketches/drawings for both new store and reinvestment projects. The overall objective of aligning the system image design and operational standards is to provide the greatest opportunity for franchisees to maximize return on investment.
Principal Accountabilities:
Prototype Plan Development and Maintenance: Responsible for prototype documentation of the various building design concepts. Work with external vendors to source appropriate materials to be utilized with the prototype design. Coordinate prototype documents with consulting architectural, structural, and M/E/P consulting engineers.
New Concept Development: Assist in the creation and implementation of new store prototype designs. Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to create design intent working drawings and support materials to accurately communicate concept design direction. Assist in the development of equipment layouts that reflect the operational needs of current and proposed menu platforms and customer service methods.
Create and Manage BIM Prototype: Provide technical guidance and support in the implementation of Revit to the architectural team. Collaborate in developing a BIM Standard providing ongoing Revit training and maintenance as needed. Build and manage Revit template, prototypes, and families from existing AutoCAD prototypes. Assist project team members in Building Information Modeling (BIM) by providing technical guidance and trouble shooting BIM related issues as required. Provide BIM related training as needed to assist team members in execution of software. Provide guidance in BIM coordination with outside architects and engineering BIM models.
Project Feasibility Drawings: Create project feasibility sketches/drawings for both new store and reinvestment projects based on requests submitted by franchise developers, field staff, and franchisees. Generate site sketches, building layouts, and exterior elevation renderings. Formulate production core feasibility layouts representing the best use of current approved equipment. Provide new store support for architects, engineers, and builders on the various building details and material specifications impacted by proposed equipment layout or building design. Completed drawings are expected to accurately represent the design image of a location and provide our franchisee community with a reasonable assessment of project viability and cost.
Communications: Effectively communicate status and content of prototype drawings with internal and external persons. Respond in a prompt and courteous manner to the numerous inquiries from outside parties regarding application of design finishes and elements, sourcing of materials, and other matters pertinent to the timely completion of projects. Provide guidance to field and internal staff, architects, builders, franchisees and vendors on the accurate and effective application of new store program requirements.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Architect & Operations Lead based out of our corporate office in Bloomington, MN. The Security Architect & Operations Lead guides a team of engineers, analysts, and key partners to design, implement and operate enterprise-wide, scalable security strategies and solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements while driving innovation and continuous improvement. As a key member of the Accounting and Finance team, the Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting audits to ensure franchisee fees paid to American Dairy Queen (ADQ) are accurate and comply with contractual agreements.
