Job Description
The Logistics Manger will manage the cross-functional logistics across the V-BAT supply chain. Ongoing responsibilities include everything from long term efficiency improvements, short term crisis management, and milestone de-risking. The role requires you to anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and decisions on assessing risk decision tradeoffs.

Responsibilities: Implement processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for international and domestic shipments, freight and parcel, including preparation of required documentation (commercial invoices, packing slips, country of origin forms, dangerous goods certifications, etc.) Provide timely and accurate quotes to customers as requested; Support the logistics team on carrier contract negotiations Schedule, execute and oversee an array of transportation brokerage services in accordance with legal and customer requirements, including cargo characteristics, service options and requirements, transit time and loading and offloading requirements Plan, build and manage logistics improvement plans Communicate any transportation impacts; including analysis and/or information regarding the industry and/or government (foreign and domestic) policies and regulations that may affect the company Manage relationships with providers' sales representatives, operational staff, US ports and terminals, customs broker/s, US Customs and Border Patrol and other gov't agencies Accountable for delivery reliability Utilizes specific knowledge of the logistics market, trends, and capabilities to identify opportunities for cost reductions and savings opportunities Creates visibility & accountability on all projects; facilitate the development of line-of-sight metrics to link logistics activities to PMT's strategic initiatives Service - improves and provides logistics solutions to support customer satisfaction

Principle Accountabilities

9. Contributes to other shared processes within team, including invoice processing, trouble shooting and basic daily problem solving.
10. Overall responsibility of IPG International compliance.
11. Related tasks as requested by supervisor

The role of Manager II is to provide local leadership for ILS (International Logistics Services) Americas HQ office for - Customer Service, Logistic Analyst and operations resources.
