The Job You Will Perform:
Primary auto palletizer operator duties/responsibilities include:
* following all safety rules and practices;
* reading factory work orders to learn customer requirements, and identifying the products that correspond to the work orders;
* positioning dunnage on units, and applying bands as specified on the work order;
* using the programming features of the equipment to set the proper strapping and the destination line for each item;
* monitoring the condition and maintenance needs of the equipment, and keeping maintenance and/or supervision informed of the equipment status;
* ensuring that the palletizer is run through breaks when the conveyor line is busy;
* stretch wrapping specified items periodically as directed;
* maintaining clean and organized work and storage areas;
* driving fork lifts as directed to unload the line, and to move, store, and load units;
* generating accurate records, loading tallies, inventories, and other paperwork; and
* performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
