What this role is responsible for:
This role is responsible for sales consultation with Chinese-speaking leads in the US market to convert them to Crimson clients, and maintaining good relationships with clients and partners to generate referral and upsell opportunities.
What success looks like
Sales
Achieving agreed upon monthly sales targets and outcomes
Identifying and interacting with new leads/customers
Conducting sales consultations and academic assessments in a professional manner and that aligns with the Crimson brand and culture.
Presenting, promoting and pitching Crimson products as per the company sales process to prospective customers
Establishing, developing and maintaining positive and professional customer interactions and relationships
Consistent and timely onboarding of new clients to the Education Coordination team as per Crimson's new client onboarding process
Contacting existing clients to inform and upsell them on new developments within Crimson's product offering.
Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
Continuously improving sales techniques and enhancing industry knowledge
Business Development & Lead Generation (when required)
Working with the Local Area and Digital Marketing Teams to develop/enhance lead generation methods by identifying opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in leads and sales
Engaging in outreach activities such as presenting at school talks, careers expos and Crimson seminars
Sourcing potential organizations and markets for lead generation/partnerships
Attending industry events where relevant and provide feedback and information on market trends
Sales Administration
Ensuring that data is diligently and accurately entered/managed within Crimson's Client Relations Management (CRM) system
Participating weekly sales team meetings and reports in an accurate and concise manner
Helping in training of new sales personnel wherever relevant
Maintaining effective communication with the Accounts team to ensure timely payment of accounts
Educating the global sales and marketing team on local market nuances in the education space
Providing feedback and suggestions on how to improve sales processes
Producing reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
Experience that would be useful in this role:

This is a full-time position, based in the U.S. The role is currently fully remote but may require occasional in-person meetings and events in the future.
Sales

Establishing rapport with parents and their students to communicate and showcase the benefits of working with Crimson Education above and beyond our competitors
Conducting sales consultations and academic assessments professionally and which aligns with the Crimson brand and culture
Presenting and promoting Crimson products as per the company's sales process to prospective families
Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive and professional customer interactions and relationships that lead to positive experiences and referrals
Consistent and timely onboarding of new clients to the Student Success Manager team
Contacting existing clients to inform and upsell them on new developments within Crimson's product offering.
Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
Continuously improving sales techniques and enhancing industry knowledge
Hosting or attending some sales oriented marketing events (mostly online) when necessary
Maintaining effective communication with the Accounts team to ensure timely payment of accounts

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in sales or business or an education-oriented field, and/or equivalent job experience in sales, with a preference for experience in the education space
A clear understanding of sales fundamentals
Strong communication skills and customer rapport building
Time management skills and ability to adapt to work on a fully remote team that's situated across all four US time zones
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; experience speaking or presenting in front of large groups is a plus
Knowledge of the US college admissions process and competitive Ivy League landscape is a plus
Knowledge of CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, is a plus

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer who will help shape a new type of role at Clever-a technical expert who can meld Sales Discovery, Support, and Onboarding to create experiences that make new customers enthusiastic advocates for Clever. A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Short-term goals
Ramp up on Clever's products, services, and value propositions.
Join pre-sales calls to understand customer needs, positioning strategies, and solution design approaches.
Share expertise on how school organizations use identity and access management systems (Google, Microsoft, etc.) in local markets.
Collaborate with the sales team to prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), demos, mock-ups, and other pre-sales materials.
Co-pilot on sales calls to build rapport with customers while gaining practical experience in the sales cycle.
Begin analyzing the sales pipeline to identify opportunities for tailored solutions.
Acquire the product expertise needed to effectively position and sell Clever's products.
Long-term goals
Own the technical pre-sales process end-to-end, from discovery to solution presentation, across multiple product lines.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers on custom services, guiding them from pre-sales through onboarding and post-go-live success.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to drive innovation and customer satisfaction.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Must have technical pre-sales experience
Must have experience working with identity and access management systems in a school organization (Google, Microsoft, etc.)
Must have EdTech industry experience
Must have experience working with complex data sets
Excellent communication and technical skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively and translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to travel within Australia during peak sales and conference seasons (up to 50% of the time). Limited travel to the US and Asia also required, with an up to 2 week onboarding trip to Clever's San Francisco office at the start of the contract.
Pay Transparency: The range for cash compensation for this role is between $110,500 - $130,000 AUD plus a 10% annual bonus. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
