The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) Department of ICANN is responsible for the operational aspects of coordinating the Internet's unique identifiers and maintaining the trust of the community by delivering these services in an unbiased, responsible, and effective manner.
The IANA Services Specialist is part of the team responsible for delivering IANA services. Specialists will gain knowledge in multiple areas, applying detailed analysis to incoming requests of varying complexity; validating against global policies and procedures; and exercising independent judgment and discretion while ensuring accuracy and meeting service level requirements. Additional responsibilities include supporting special projects, preparing reports for ICANN and its global partners, and managing internal process documentation.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
* Independently process both routine and specialized requests from global stakeholders in one or more IANA functional areas (e.g., managing the DNS root zone, assigning number resources, and making protocol parameter assignments for IETF standards), with minimal supervision.
* Switch between multiple systems, business processes, and tasks, each with unique rule sets and requirements, while maintaining accuracy and meeting service levels.
* Evaluate and validate incoming requests for accuracy and consistency with current policies, involving subject matter experts when necessary.
* Ensure technical information complies with established technical requirements.
* Consult with subject matter experts and collaborate with colleagues to respond to IANA-related inquiries.
* Gather and analyze data to prepare formal reports for staff briefings, ICANN stakeholders, and partners; independently produce reports after training.
* Prepare internal reports related to specific requests.
* Establish and maintain internal documentation on key IANA Services processes and propose improvements as appropriate.
* Be available 24x7 on-call in rare emergency cases affecting critical infrastructure managed by IANA, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution.

Responsibilities
Identify and Recruit Strategic ISV and Tech Partners: Build a robust pipeline of ISVs, SaaS platforms, and technology partners that align with Cloudinary's product and GTM strategy.
Develop OEM and Embedded Partnerships: Structure and negotiate OEM and embedded agreements where Cloudinary's media management capabilities are integrated into third-party solutions.
Establish Resell and Co-Sell GTM Motions: Create scalable resell and co-sell frameworks with technology partners to drive sourced and influenced revenue. Develop joint value propositions, partner plays, and GTM programs that accelerate adoption and growth.

About You

The Linear Generator is a next-generation energy system where the control layer must seamlessly integrate and manage multiple interdependent physical domains. Your technical leadership will be crucial for the modeling, simulation, and control of its dynamics, which encompass mechanical, electrical, fluid, thermal, and thermodynamic processes. The duties will primarily include engagement and project management tasks, besides general coordination and operational support to the ICANN Global Stakeholder Engagement teams in Africa - to include, but not be limited to, the key responsibilities listed below.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Stakeholder Engagement and Facilitation
* Manage, lead, and execute on stakeholder engagement in South Africa, along with countries designated by the team in the Southern Africa & Indian Ocean region, including governments, senior officials, academia, business and legal communities, and non-commercial interests.
* Help the Global Stakeholder Engagement team in the Africa region develop, implement, and refine the ICANN Africa Regional Engagement Plan in consultation with stakeholders participating in the African Community, in line with the ICANN Strategic Plan.
* Facilitate engagement in Southern Africa & Indian Ocean countries on the Coalition for Digital Africa program, in collaboration with the Coalition Secretariat and other ICANN org staff.
* Monitor, identify, and analyze Internet-related developments, public policy issues, and trends, and assess their impact on strategy in the Africa region, translating findings into practical plans.
* Develop the organization's work in the region, including internal coordination and external partnerships.
* Analyze local and regional developments and create reports and communications such as position papers and reports to communicate ICANN's global strategy.
* Engage in regional and international Internet governance dialogues, including strategy to address issues affecting the organization.
* Support a disciplined communications and reporting system between the regions and the organization on issues and events relevant to ICANN's responsibilities.
* Negotiate effectively and influence resolution on issues in an environment with conflicting stakeholder views.
* Support the Global Stakeholder Engagement team in Africa in the analysis of information and data for the purpose of identifying gaps and trends.
* Represent ICANN in external engagement and speak at public events.
* Handle relationship management and communication across different stakeholder groups.

Internal Coordination
* Coordinate with the regional GSE team on day-to-day operations such as processing sponsorships, administering partnership arrangements, and tracking departmental tasks and deadlines.
* Work cross-functionally to support the development and implementation of the ICANN regional engagement plans.
* Gather and analyze information and data to track regional community participation and activities for the purpose of identifying gaps and trends.
* Take responsibility for the CES regional admin role for the Africa region.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
