About this opportunity
The Project Management Intern is a member of the Information Systems team who supports IT and Facilities by coordinating projects and assisting in maintaining the priorities of the support teams. The Project Manager will also provide insight and training to the Project Management Intern on basic reporting, and the tool sets we use.
MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support IT and Facilities Project Coordination efforts
Assist in enforcing IT governance standards on smaller initiatives, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures
Act as a liaison between project teams and governance committees to track adherence and escalate issues when necessary
Communicate across departments to ensure everyone is up to date on updates, deadlines, and changes
Maintain reporting on key projects
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Skilled with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Project Management Principles
Interest in developing skills with project management tools
Exposure to tools like Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms is a plus.

Position Summary:
The Museum Interpretation Intern assists the Interpretation Specialists, who work in collaboration with the curatorial and learning & engagement teams, in formulating narrative and interpretive strategies for artworks and exhibitions.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn about and contribute to the research, planning, and implementation of interpretive tools for the Museum's exhibitions and art installations. These include items such as brochures, activity guides, rack cards, labels, audio tours, and other digital tools that encourage guest engagement and learning (in the galleries, on the grounds, and in other museum-related spaces).
The goal is to create an impactful and rewarding experience for our museum guests. This internship offers hands-on training in the museum profession and an overview of museum exhibition operations from the early planning stages through implementation.
The ideal candidate is passionate about artistic expression, the arts in general, and has interest and skills in critical thinking, creative writing, and on-line and library research. Applicants must be ready to think creatively in unfamiliar situations and be prepared for hands-on experience. The Interpretation Intern will actively participate and perform duties in some of the following functional areas:

Engage in creative brainstorming
Assist in conducting visitor evaluation and data collection
Meeting attendance

Qualifications:

Position Summary
The Havner Curatorial Summer Internship at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is a paid, residential opportunity designed to provide first-hand experience within a curatorial department and meaningful exposure to the operations of a major American art museum. Havner Interns work one-on-one with a member of the Curatorial team and support a variety of projects, including exhibition development, object research, interpretive writing (such as object labels), and initiatives related to the full scope of the museum's collection, which spans the 18th century to today.
As part of Crystal Bridges' robust summer internship cohort, Havner Interns will join a vibrant community of colleagues across multiple departments. Through orientation, scheduled conversations, and cross-departmental engagements, interns will develop a broad understanding of museum practice while expanding upon their academic training and applying their knowledge in professional, real-world contexts.
This internship is open to current undergraduate juniors and seniors, as well as first- and second-year graduate students. The 8-week internship runs from June 1 through July 24, 2026. Interns are expected to work 35-40 hours per week. The stipend is paid biweekly, with undergraduate interns earning $13/hour and graduate interns earning $14/hour. Housing near Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is provided.

Work Environment
The notes on the work environment described here are intended to outline internship expectations that enable the intern to perform the essential functions of this position.

Each week, interns will have several required meetings.

Housing
