Loss Prevention Internship This role is a 10 week internship starting in the Summer of 2026. Amazon is looking for college students with high potential who are ready to own their impact in Amazon Operations as a Loss Prevention Intern. As a Loss Prevention Intern, you will have the opportunity to own your impact by leading the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection (to include people, buildings, equipment, data, & intellectual property) in a designated fulfillment center (FC).
The Loss Prevention Intern is a key member of the Security and Loss Prevention organization, reporting to the Loss Prevention Manager whom is responsible for the facility and aids interns in a project benefiting the team. The Loss Prevention Intern may also assist the cross functional teams within the site including Human Resources, Finance, Corporate Audit, Security Services-Retail/CS/Corp, WW Physical Security Systems and Design, and Inventory Control Quality Assurance.
The Loss Prevention Intern's primary responsibility will be supporting the efforts of the Loss Prevention team in the implementation of standardized, cost effective and efficient security services program for their assigned FC(s). This will be measured by agreed upon objectives and metrics related to key areas such as the level and quality of customer service provided, access and inventory control effectiveness, the protection of the FC's employees and visitors and improvements to non-security department related productivity such as business continuity, product and equipment dependability, continuous flow, etc.
What is fulfillment you ask? Fulfillment is how we refer to completing or fulfilling a customer's Amazon.com order and the acts of picking, packing, shipping and delivering their order to meet or exceed their expectations! Our Operations workflow can be broken three major lanes: first mile - where the product is housed and ready for your order; second mile - where your order is hauled to your area; and last mile - when the product is delivered to your door. Please note that all lanes have slight building variations, but one thing is constant, our vision and dedication to the customer.

Key job responsibilities
· Drive Standard Work and Continuous Improvement through an intern project
· Ensure internal controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements related to your area are fulfilled.
· Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud.
· Manage access controls within the assigned FC to reduce the risk of unauthorized data access.

· Coordinate data collection through database polling or data entry from multiple FCs and conduct analysis generating strategic and tactical interpretations.

A day in the life
As a member of the AMER Region Loss Prevention Team, you will be responsible for leading the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection to protect People, Product and Data within your site (or Region). You will execute this through daily partnerships with critical site, and regional, leaders across Operations, Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), PxT, Employee Relations, RME and more. You will be an expert across multiple operational disciplines in order to drive efficiency and loss reduction efforts. Amazon's LP and shrink reduction efforts are supported by the Global Security Operations (GSO) team through the creation of an overall global strategy designed to optimize resources and leverage technology to mitigate product loss and maintain customer satisfaction. The Loss Prevention Team often collaborates with external partners, including law enforcement agencies, private investigators, and security vendors, to enhance security measures and investigate incidents. The composition and structure of a Loss Prevention Team can vary depending on the size and industry of the organization. However, their collective efforts are essential for protecting company assets, reducing losses, and maintaining a secure business environment.
About the team
Global Security Operations (GSO) is the global organization that supports field Loss Prevention and is designed to support Amazon's Worldwide Operations, as well as affiliate and retail businesses, by creating and maintaining a work environment that is both prepared and secure through global security centers of excellence staffed by subject matter experts in people and asset protection. We accomplish this by creating policy and implementation guidelines; training leadership and staff; using technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation; identifying, preparing for, and mitigating risk; and auditing our practices to ensure compliance.
Basic Qualifications
· Currently enrolled pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a conferral date between December 2026 and August 2027

Job Description
We have multiple openings for undergraduate students to join the Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Summer Institute (CSI) and to work on topics related to cybersecurity that align with LLNL's national security missions. The 2026 CSI program will run during the summer with a range of start dates between May 18, 2026, and June 22, 2026 and flexible end dates through September 25, 2026. CSI is designed to provide selected candidates an opportunity to apply their skills to projects in areas of national importance such as the development and implementation of cybersecurity tools and capabilities to mitigate advanced threats and the cybersecurity of civilian and defense critical infrastructure. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Shadow different roles within the facility to gain knowledge and understand practices, processes while developing leadership skills (e.g., Cellar, Compliance, Winemaking, and Analytical Lab)
Analytical Lab: Given an opportunity to learn all the various lab procedures and should be able to identify wine specs for all the different varietals upon completion of this section. They will be required to pull tank samples which will aid in the learning of the tank farm.
Sanitation: The intern required to participate in the overall sanitation of the facility prior to the season. This gives an opportunity to learn the basics behind the process prior to the start of crush. The intern will work closely with the cellar employees during the completion of this process, which will help develop a good working relationship prior to the season.
Crush: During crush season the intern will be required to supervise all grape processing. This includes:
Ensuring that sanitation has been properly completed prior to the daily startup.
Responsible for the grape trucks from the test stand to the tanks. The intern will need to work closely with the crusher lead and operators to ensure nothing goes to the wrong tank.
Responsible for seeing that additions and circulations are completed on time and in the correct manner.
Responsible to see that tanks are drained/pressed at the right times based on directions from winemaking.
Participate in daily fermenter tasting and conduct tank walks twice per day.
Participate in and document all production scale winemaking trials.
There may be times when the intern may need to make decisions based on their winemaking knowledge. When doing this they need to use all the facts to support their decision
Upon the completion of crush, the intern will aid winemaking/cellar to ensure processing is conducted in the correct manner.
May be required to write work orders under the direction of the Winemaker.
Assist the winemaker and compliance in the process of closing completed work orders.
Stay up to date with all cellar processing.
Need to be able to answer questions about various states of processing when approached by others.
Participate in all benchtop trials as directed by winemaking (fining, blending, etc.)
Learn why and how each piece of equipment functions in the cellar. This will require that the intern spends time with each of the operators on the various pieces of equipment around the winery.
The intern will be required to provide a status report on the internship upon completion of each of the major tasks above.

The Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) is a service and outreach agency of the Warner College of Natural Resources (WCNR). The CSFS provides technical forestry assistance, wildfire mitigation expertise, and outreach and education to help landowners and communities achieve their forest management goals. Our mission is to achieve stewardship of Colorado's diverse forest environments for the benefit of present and future generations.
The Colorado State Forest Service partnered with the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University (CSU) in 2018 to develop the CSFS Internship Program that offers paid summer internships to undergraduate students. Intern positions provide students with in-depth learning and work experiences in natural resources. Internships include a 15-85% split between training for the student and hourly work for the CSFS, as defined below under "Duties and Responsibilities". Student interns prepare 2 written documents throughout their internship period to advance professional writing skills and encourage self-reflection. They also receive one-on-one mentoring and evaluations from their CSFS supervisor(s). Summary
The Agronomy Intern works closely with the Dalhart, TX Agronomy Team to support and learn hands-on skills related to farm operations. As the Agronomy Intern, you will gain exposure to all facets of our chip & table potato operation through field work, research projects, and educational opportunities.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Support the Agronomy Team with weekly pest scouting, tissue sampling, crop management and irrigation scheduling.
Participate in data collection of R&D test plots, and evaluation of on-farm research.
Assist with irrigation system scheduling and soil moisture management.
Gain experience in pesticide programs and planning.
Give and receive real-time performance feedback to further your growth and leadership development.
Deliver and present to management a summary of observations from field scouting and R&D efforts.
Observe field operations as it relates to potato planting, harvesting, etc.
Take on other tasks and responsibilities, as needed.
Physical Demands
Walking and working outdoors in the elements.
Driving between farm sites to move samples and other supplies.
Regularly lifting objects (such as potato samples) of up to 40-50 lbs.

Fellowship Description: You can make a difference in our world. The work of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is meaningful and varied.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) received funding through the CARES Act to place long term interns at field stations to help mitigate COVID-related impacts on visitor services. Proposed projects/duties include activities such as roving outdoor interpretation, outdoor programming, virtual education and/or interpretive programming, and staffing Visitor Centers. Many field stations have experienced increased visitation over the past 18 months, while being impacted by fewer volunteers and interns to perform key operational functions.
Working with the San Luis NWR Complex visitor services program, your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assisting the Refuge Complex with developing and providing educational and outreach programs for visitors. Sample duties include:
Leading guided nature walks for the public.
Assisting with conducting public events at the refuge, such as Elk Day and Crane Day
Filming/producing virtual (video) nature walks and tours to be posted on refuge websites and social media.
Assisting with conducting in-person environmental education field trips for visiting schools.
“Ranger on a Trail” impromptu interactions with refuge visitors by roving trails and tour routes during high visitor traffic periods, or stationing near trailheads and parking areas, to answer questions and provide information about the refuge.
Staffing the visitor center information desk to interact with visitors in-person and over the phone.
Assisting with trimming and upkeep of refuge nature trails and visitor facilities.

General Description:
The internship program will introduce students, before they approach the end of their studies, to the community college environment and student population. The faculty intern will serve under the direct supervision of a mentor who is legally qualified to teach in the assigned discipline and/or render the service the faculty intern will provide. Faculty mentors will provide substantial direct in-class supervision and evaluation of interns' teaching capabilities. A faculty internship will be limited to a maximum of two (2) years. After successful completion of the internship, the intern may move into a regular adjunct pool in their respective discipline.

* Provide instruction in accordance with established course outlines and expectations
* Inform students about course requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance policy
* Maintain required student attendance and scholastic records
* Prepare and grade class assignments and examinations
* Post and maintain regular office hours in accordance with prevailing policy
* Participate in the development and review of curriculum
* Participate in the development of teaching-learning methods and materials
* Participate in departmental, area and campus professional activities/committees
* Participate in the college's learning outcomes assessment program, including course, program, and institutional assessments
* Perform tasks needed for student records, e.g., submit grades on time to admissions and records
First semester as an Intern:
* Assigned a mentor
* Will meet regularly with mentor to plan course content and discuss student engagement
* Assigned to one (1) class within the discipline
Second semester as an Intern:
* Assigned to a mentor
* Will have ad hoc access to mentor for support and troubleshooting
* May be assigned more than one class based on Merced College's need
REQUIRED:
Disciplines requiring a Master's degree
* Enrollment in a Master's or Doctoral program at any accredited institution of higher education AND
* Completion of at least one-half of the coursework, or equivalent, in that graduate program AND
* Promote and incorporate culturally affirming DEIA and anti-racist principles to nurture and create a respectful, inclusive, and equitable learning and work environment. In conducting their duties, staff members shall respect and acknowledge the diversity of students and colleagues.
Disciplines not requiring a Master's degree
* Possess any license or certificate required to perform work pertaining to the discipline AND
* Be within one (1) year of Associate degree completion AND
* Have six (6) years of industry experience in the discipline OR
* Completion of an Associate's degree AND five (5) years of industry experience in that discipline
* A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students

Sick leave, faculty employed on a part-time hourly basis shall earn sick leave credit at the rate of one (1) hour for each twenty (20) hours of paid service.
