Job Description
At Olsson, we help our clients proactively comply with complicated regulatory processes and provide our clients with the latest and best methods for completing environmental surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and summarizing results. As a summer 2026 student intern with our Environmental Sciences team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You will complete a variety of scientific tasks, perform field investigations, write reports, and work with other environmental professionals. Prior knowledge of avian species (by sight or sound) and/or the ability to identify native plants is a plus. You will travel with other professionals to job sites, in remote locations, for observation activities and fieldwork. These locations could include Kearney, North Platte, Broken Bow, and Norfolk in Nebraska. You will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrain types. You will be driving a pickup truck on minimum maintenance roads. Some overnight travel could be required based on project location.
