Under the general supervision of Community Health Injury Program Manager, assist with the planning and implementation of community health projects and activities in the Bear River Health District. This internship is typically scheduled for around 15-20 hours per week for 3 months starting in January. Responsibilities & Learning Objectives Coordinate efforts with Bear River Health Department staff, community members and the Utah Poison Control Center to provide poison prevention education to community members in order to decrease poisonings within the health district. Intern will be responsible for attending 5 health fairs, 3 senior presentations, and 3 school/daycare presentations. This includes gathering resources and materials to share at each event or presentation. Intern will be responsible for reaching out and scheduling the health fairs, senior presentations, etc. They will also be responsible for entering documents in a state database.
