Project Overview & Description: The Marble Hill and Whitestone UG Mines are underground room and pillar mining operations. While the Life of Mine Plans (LOMP) have been completed, Life of Mine UG ventilation sensitivity analysis and optimization should be completed. The proposed project consists of two phases. Phase 1 is assessment of the current ventilation situation at the designated UG mines by conducting comprehensive ventilations surveys (i.e., airflows, pressure readings, etc,). Phase 2 includes generation of the Ventsim ventilation models based on the completed Life of Mine layouts to understand Life of Mine balance between natural and forced ventilation (i.e, diameter of ventilation shaft sizes, their locations, and required UG shafts CapEx/OpEx investment to reduce forced UG ventilation CapEx and OpEx). Overall goal is to understanding life of mine cycle options optimizing CapEX and OpEX as applied to the UG ventilation.
Project Description & Deliverables: Life of Mine Ventilations CapEx and OpEx optimization relying on natural ventilation while optimizing UG CapEx and OpEx for the Life of Mines cycles.
