About the Role
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Office Administrator to support daily office operations and ensure a smooth, welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Key Responsibilities
Office Management & Daily Operations
Open the office each morning (start coffee, prepare workspace, restock kitchen as needed)
Maintain cleanliness of common areas including the kitchen, café space, and conference rooms
Manage office maintenance requests (temperature adjustments, repairs, etc.)
Coordinate storage closet organization and upkeep
Oversee weekly fridge cleanouts and monitoring of expired items
Administrative Support
Assist with scanning, printing, mailing, shipping, label creation, and general clerical tasks
Support Webex/Teams meeting setups and maintain calendars and the ACT database
Manage office supply inventory (paper goods, cleaning supplies, stationery, wellness items, coffee pods, etc.)
Place recurring or one-off orders through Aramark, Amazon, and other vendors
Event & Culture Coordination
Coordinate team lunches, office parties, holiday celebrations, and company outings
Manage holiday décor setup and takedown
Plan and order flowers, gifts, client appreciation items, and gift cards
Send birthday announcements, coordinate card signing, and assist with team recognition activities
Visitor & Staff Support
Maintain the staff calendar and track in-office schedules
Assist with meeting room setups and technology preparation
Provide additional support to team members and executives as needed

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of an LSSP Internship Supervisor:
* Select and administer assessments and observations to evaluate the intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of referred students. Determine student eligibility for special education services according to federal and state regulations. Develop emotional/behavioral reports and behavior intervention plans.
* Complete associated documentation for and/or participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings to assist with appropriate placement and development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students according to district procedures.
* Meet with parents to discuss pertinent background information and test results. Conduct individual and/or group counseling sessions as directed by the IEP.
* Consult with teachers and relevant staff concerning the educational needs of students, interpretation of assessment data, and implementation of behavior intervention plans in managing the emotional/behavioral needs of students.
* Consult with psychologists, psychiatrists, medical doctors, and community agencies concerning intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students as needed
* Provide staff training in assigned schools to enable school personnel to identify and work more effectively with students with emotional, social, and behavioral disabilities.
* Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required, including case records, test results, statistical data, and evaluation protocols.
* Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Comply with all district and local campus routines and regulations.
* Maintain a positive and effective relationship with supervisors.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate, inspect, and monitor in a safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound manner steam power plant equipment (i.e. Boiler / Furnace equipment, Turbine/Generator and its associated auxiliary equipment, Fuel Systems, Plant Auxiliary Systems includes valves, pumps, blowers, Environmental Control Process equipment, and Water Treatment Systems).
Recognize safety hazards and follow safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
Learn proper operating procedures.
Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret meter and gauge readings to troubleshoot plant equipment to resolve operational problems.
Monitor and record data available through the use of various instruments, recording charts, annunciator systems and other monitoring devices onto shift logs as directed by plant operational procedures.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
Knowledgeable of environmental rules and regulations, and effectively apply them to all work situations.
Installs, maintains tests, inspects, and repairs generating station equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, condensers, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
Replaces bearings, packing in pumps and valves, shaft seals, sleeves, seats, and other miscellaneous parts used in plant equipment.
Works with mechanics and skill enhancement employees to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
Perform safety related duties such as accepting work authorizations, hot work permits, confined space entry permits, etc.
Ability to use hand tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, sledgehammers, etc).
Ability to use shop tools (i.e. power saws, drills, drill presses, and lathes).

High school diploma or GED
2 years of military experience in mechanical maintenance repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of pumps, turbines, auxiliary equipment or engines OR machine shop equipment experience including inspection and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating and diagnostics.
Valid State Driver's License

This position will report directly to the Director of Estimation in the review of plans/specs, solicitation/negotiation of prices from contractors and suppliers, quantity takeoffs, and all other tasks associated with a complete bid/estimating process.
Responsibilities.
Manage, organize, and communicate bid documentation
Perform detailed take-off and unit cost estimates of mechanical and plumbing estimates
Perform pricing breakouts as required by customers, general contractors and subcontractors
Electronically maintain records of all working documents and dates to back up estimates
Assemble well-organized project folders in a timely manner

OUR COMPENSATION
Our paid interns are paid a salary of $20.00 per hour for up to 25 hours per week. Paid interns do not receive health, time, or leave benefits. Interns do not receive overtime pay or comp time hours.
WHEN APPLYING:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Learn environmental rules and regulations, and effectively apply them to all work situations.
Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain protective relays, computers, metering, monitoring, and control systems on boilers, turbines, generators, and plant auxiliary equipment. In shop location includes performing benchwork and component troubleshooting.
Learn to reads, and interprets electric generating plants P&ID's and CWD's to locate, identify, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems, interlocks, etc.
Uses test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters electronic bridges, loop calibrators) and hand tools (i.e. drills, screwdrivers) as necessary to troubleshoot and maintain devices and systems for the power plant.
Learn proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
Completes all written and electronic records ( i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
Learn power plant layout and system operations.
Continually updates knowledge of plant systems and instrumentation.
Makes decisions about how best to repair equipment and what resources (tools, time equipment) will be needed.
Employee must arrange own transportation to work location and may be reassigned to another location at the Company's discretion.
Minimum Requirements:
Associates' Degree or equivalent education in instrumentation, pneumatics, engineering, or a related technical discipline
OR
Two (2) years military experience in electronics repair and calibration may be substituted for formal training.
Must live within reasonable commuting distance of the plant in Thompsons, Texas.
Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:
Power Plant Environment-Work both inside and outside in all temperatures and climate conditions in accordance with Heat Stress procedures. Around large rotating equipment, energized electrical equipment in high noise areas, and/or in confined places, on elevations in excess of 250 feet, or from platforms at heights of 5 feet or greater. Climb stairways, ladders, and work from aerial devices.
Must be prepared to work irregular or rotating shifts and respond to emergency callout 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Ability to work in mentally stressful environments: must be able to react to crises where immediate action is required to correct or curtail potentially damaging or hazardous situations.
Daily work expectation requires ability to perform tasks by walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, shoveling, climbing, and working with hand tools (up to 25 pounds) in position above and below head, and extended from body to complete repairs.
Lift, carry, position and use tools and/or equipment (weighing up to 50 lbs.) in awkward positions, swing various weights of sledge hammers, stoop and bend to reach valves, pull on chain-falls or come-a-longs.
Ability to twist the body and neck while driving company vehicles or operating company equipment.
Performance of duties may cause frequent jarring of the body.
Work with and around hazardous and non-hazardous materials (reference the waste management guidance manual).
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required i.e.…steel-toed boots, respirators, goggles, safety glasses etc.
