Responsibilities

This internship will provide someone with experience in many aspects of as well as insight into the inner working of organizational management.
The internship is full-time, beginning January 12th, 2026 to July 10th, 2026.
Responsibilities: As an intern with LAC Office, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist members of our legal team with researching and writing reproductive rights-related submissions to United Nations and regional human rights bodies.
Assist of our Advocacy team with monitoring and documenting of media coverage of the Center and updating media placements archives.
Bluebooking and fact-checking as needed for current reports and publications.
Support administrative duties.
Monitor applications and concluding observations of UN committees as directed by the team
Following up requests for hearings before the CIDH.
Monitoring CIDH reports (thematic and country reports).
Qualifications:
Current law student
Strong advocacy research and writing skills
Demonstrated an interest in gender/women's issues and reproductive rights
Taken Constitutional Law and International Law classes
Knowledge of human rights as well as a basic understanding of the Inter-American Human Rights System
Fluency in Spanish and English (B1), knowledge of Portuguese is a plus

La oficina del Centro en Bogotá está buscando un pasante entusiasta, ingenioso y altamente organizado con un compromiso con los temas de derechos reproductivos para participar en una variedad de mini proyectos relacionados con la oficina de Colombia. Esta pasantía proporcionará a alguien experiencia en muchos aspectos, así como una visión del funcionamiento interno de la gestión organizacional. La práctica es de tiempo completo, comenzando el 12 de enero de 2026 y finalizando el 10 de julio de 2026.
Responsabilidades: Como practicante del Programa para América Latina y el Caribe del Centro de Derechos Reproductivos, sus actividades estarán enfocadas principalmente a:
· Asistir en la investigación y redacción de documentos legales relacionados con derechos reproductivos, dirigidos a órganos internacionales y regionales de derechos humanos.
· Asistir en el proceso de comprobación y verificación de las citas y fuentes bibliográficas de las publicaciones.
· Asistir en el monitoreo de prensa regional.
· Apoyar en la preparación de materiales para las acciones de incidencia a nivel regional e internacional.
· Apoyar actividades administrativas.
· Monitorear convocatorias y observaciones finales de comités de ONU según le indiquemos desde el equipo
· Acompañamiento en solicitudes de audiencias ante CIDH
· Monitoreo de informes de la CIDH (Temáticos y de país).
Requisitos:
· Estudiante de Derecho, Ciencias Políticas o carreras afines.
· Gran capacidad de investigación y redacción
· Interés demostrado en cuestiones de género/mujeres y derechos reproductivos
· Haber tomado clases de Derecho Constitucional y Derecho Internacional
· Conocimiento de los derechos humanos así como una comprensión básica del Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos
· Dominio del español y del inglés (B1), se valorará el conocimiento del portugués
