Chinese Mandarin Linguist will conduct open source research and analysis. Linguist will be responsible for providing full translation and gist on various topics of interest and regular production of deliverables.

The Spanish Analytic Linguist will provide operational support to support linguist and translator duties as assigned by the PMO. Essential Job Duties

General Purpose of the Position
As the Staff Interpreter reporting to the TE ASL Services Department Manager, your primary responsibility will be to deliver precise and coherent ASL/English interpretation services across diverse sectors, including Federal Government contracts, private businesses, educational institutions, and medical facilities. Your assignments will encompass a range of scenarios, including on -call duties, training sessions, platform interpreting, Video Remote Interpreting, and facilitating one -on -one or small group meetings. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in TE staff meetings, promotional events, and conferences.
Essential Functions
Conducts proficient sign language interpreting and translation services for clients across various environments, adhering to established American Sign Language/English interpreting protocols.
Consults with clients, TE personnel, and service providers to identify any potential obstacles that may hinder the successful delivery of interpreting services, such as issues related to instructional materials.
Exhibits complete adherence to TE's standards and policies, as well as the RID Code of Professional Conduct, which includes upholding utmost confidentiality at all times.
Enhances interpreting skills through continued education training.
Non -Essential/Additional Duties
Performs special assignments, projects, and other duties that align with the mission and vision of the company.
Represents the company as industry and company events, and professional conferences, as needed.
RequirementsQualifications
A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a certified sign language interpreter across diverse professional and business environments.
Active RID National Certification including compliance with any national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements.
Must have reliable transportation to travel between different work sites.
Must be able to obtain a US Secret Clearance (with our sponsorship)
Ability to be assigned to the majority of TE customer contracts in the Washington Metro Area.
Must possess and maintain national certification. Failure to maintain national certification will result in disqualification for this position.Knowledge of:

ContextGlobal, Inc., is seeking a full-time ASL staff interpreter in the Washington D.C. area.
We are supporting some school systems providing ASL interpreting support for deaf and hard of hearing students in the k-12 setting. A successful candidate for the full-time position or independent contractor will be assigned to a school for the duration of a school year or as needed and provide support to students using ASL as their mode of communication.
Completion of an Interpreter Training Program or three years of experience as a sign language interpreter. Preference will be given to a candidate who has graduated from an accredited interpreter training program.
Certification is not required, but EIPA and NIC Certification would get preference.
Because the position is in a public school, you be required to have a:
TB screening
Criminal background check and fingerprinting
Drug test
The interview and screening will be conducted in ASL and spoken English.
Minimum requirements include:
Good Signing and voicing skills
Ethical training
Excellent customer service relations
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds (customers, colleagues, and management)
Knowledge of educational vocabulary and a strong understanding of ASL and Deaf culture.
