Summary
Responsible for facilitating the successful delivery of services to patients and family members of various languages.
Follows requests for interpretation, collaborating with qualified auxiliary interpreters for comprehensive accommodation of interpretation requests. Provides translation service (both sight translation & written translation) of pertinent materials for patients and families, such as written information regarding relevant services, pre-operative, post-operative, discharge instructions, patient and family education, and follow-up care materials.

Qualifications
1. Bachelors Degree with a concentration in a human relations field (i.e. Sociology, Psychology) highly preferable.
2. At least 2 years of college level education and 2 years of hospital and/or health care related experience in a position of direct patient contact.
3. Fluency of English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
4. Prior training of medical terminology and interpreting skills.
5. Knowledge of culture-specific care.

Job Summary:
Our Linguists are responsible for performing real-time transcriptions of sensitive material from Spanish to English; collecting, analyzing, identifying, and decoding of colloquialisms and slang terms; extracting pertinent information and communicating that information to law enforcement agent(s). The linguist will be responsible for transcribing source documents and recordings from storage media, including but not limited to audiocassettes, videocassettes, or digital media.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Listens to oral and written intercepts or pre-recorded communications in Spanish and provides verbal and written synopsis and transcriptions as it may be applicable per project.
Responsible for relating all pertinent information to the Client when supporting a live project.
Contributes to a master-list of slang words and codes (used by a particular group/organization) for the duration of the project/case.
Maintains a voice library for the duration of the project.
Transcribes and translates pertinent calls and documents as assigned by their supervisor.
Produce court ready transcriptions of pertinent calls, chats, and documents, following the required format.
Responsible for using the various reference tools created during the project.
Ability to transcribe a minimum of 16 minutes of recorded conversation in an 8-hour day.
Operates specialized software equipment provided by the government to include JSI voice box, Pen-link, Comverse, and other communication collection equipment used at their assigned site.

II. Major Responsibilities:
1. Inspects, records, and interprets gauges and meters, and performs tests for safety and informational purposes.
2. Monitors Building Automation System (BAS) and notifies appropriate personal.
3. Maintains, repairs, and cleans equipment, including filter and oil changes
4. Regulates steam, cooling, and power created by CHP by manipulating or adjusting appropriate controls.
5. Performs firing operations of the boilers and builds up the steam pressure needed according to the operating demands of the various areas.

Required:
1. 2nd class firemen's license required.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. 0 - 3 years of experience.
2. Knowledge of boilers and related auxiliary equipment.
Preferred:
1. 1-3 years of experience
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
