Your Impact The Driver I is primarily responsible for ensuring on-time, accurate, and safe deliveries, while providing exceptional service to our customers. The Driver I associate will deliver products from our local warehouse to customers within a specified route. What You Will Do
Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery of orders
Utilizes hand-held device technology to capture signatures for all deliveries

Minimum Qualifications
High School or GED General studies or technical school graduate and
1-2 Years Experience with box truck driving; Gross Vehicle Weight ranging from 14,500 lbs. to 26,000 lbs.
Physical fitness to move continuously throughout the facility, lift up to 40 pounds, and operate power equipment.
Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations (if applicable).
Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
Delivery Drivers may work flexible shifts, with voluntary and scheduled overtime as needed (additional pay for overtime).

Controlled substance testing, annual physical examinations, and random tests for use of controlled substances and alcohol, as prescribed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Virginia Board of Education, and Loudoun County Public Schools are a condition of continued employment.
Knowledge of traffc and highway safety rules and regulations, local street and road system, and basic mechanical principles of motor vehicle operations (provided during training)

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Truck drivers require five (5) years previous driving experience and other skills, including strong knowledge of safety and DOT regulations, to be familiar with not just traffic laws but rules regarding rest, maximum miles driver, etc. Possess a clean driving record and agree to annual driving record. Physically fit and submit to medical exam every two years. Hand-eye coordination to coordinate hands, legs and eyes to maintain a fast reaction time Visual and hearing acuity, in accordance with federal regulations which mandates drivers are required to hear a forced whisper at 5 feet, have at least 20/40 vision, a 70-degree field of vision and the ability to distinguish the color of traffic lights.
