Intramural Supervisor (STUDENT/WORKSTUDY)
The Department of Recreational Services is seeking a student for the Intramural Sports Supervisor position. The Intramural Sports Supervisor will assist with the daily operations of the Intramural Sports Program. That includes on-site supervision of officials, participants, and spectators during events and activities. The supervisor will also assist in promoting, organizing, and evaluating activities, along with enforcing program policies. Shifts will take place on weekdays during the evening, in the fall and winter semesters. Hourly wages begin at $15/hr, with an increased planned for this fall.
Responsibilities*
* On-site supervision for all intramural activities
* Serve as first responder in case of an emergency
* Provide programs and sports information to participants and spectators
* Enforce policies and procedures with participants and spectators
* Ensure facilities and equipment are safe to use for participants
* Print off daily score sheets and rosters from IMleagues
* Input scores and sportsmanship ratings into IMleagues
* Prep daily work stations for officials to pick up IM equipment
* Serve as replacement official in an emergency situation
* Attend required meetings and trainings
Required Qualifications*
* Current UM-Flint Student
* Experience officiating or supervising events
Desired Qualifications*
* Knowledge of rules and regulations for multiple sports
* Previous clerical experience
* Work study award for upcoming academic semester
