Derek joined INTREN in 2012 as a financial analyst. After working in the financial services industry for 2 years at Nuveen Investments, Derek rejoined INTREN in 2016 and became the Chief Financial Officer in 2019.

Derek played an integral role in selling a 49% equity stake in INTREN to One Equity Partners and has been instrumental in advancing the data collection and analytics of the Company. Additionally, Derek has implemented various initiatives to improve the company’s financial performance and has led the Company’s M&A activities.

Derek received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and his B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame with majors in Finance and Mathematics. He also was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
