INTRUST Bank company history timeline

1876

Intrust Bank was founded on November 1, 1876 and has been serving the financial needs of their customers for over 145 years.

1895

In 1895, Kansas National Bank merged with Citizens State Bank.

1902

The 1902 Oldsmobile allows him to continue doing business face-to-face as the bank grows throughout south-central Kansas.

1919

KNB merged with National Bank of Commerce in 1919, making a new bank: First National Bank in Wichita.

1920

Today, Intrust is still headquartered in the same building First National built in the early 1920s.

1943

C.J. becomes president of First National Bank in Wichita in 1943.

1993

In 1993, The First acquired Kansas State Bank and Trust, but not before KSBT acquired Central Bank and Trust three years earlier.

1996

Charlie becomes president of INTRUST Bank in 1996 and leads the company into the internet age early with the launch of intrustbank.com.

1999

INTRUST expands to the Manhattan, Topeka, Lawrence, Overland Park, Andover and Augusta communities through the acquisition of United States Bank’s Kansas locations in 1999.
