Inventory auditor job description

The Inventory Auditor is responsible for cycle counting warehouse product and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position needs to have a good understanding of ICIM as well as the ability to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles. The Inventory Auditor will be responsible for completing assigned cycle counts across all Marvin Fargo and West Fargo facilities.
Highlights of your role

Stock material neatly and safely.
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
Strong comprehension of mathematics required.
Communicate issues that impact production to Purchasing and Receiving in a timely manner.

ICIM experience preferred
Forklift experience preferred
Ability to obtain/maintain a forklift certification is required

Ashley HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for an Inventory Loss Prevention Auditor. This position is responsible for supporting various inventory and auditing procedures that help ensure accurate reporting and control of store asset balances. The Inventory Auditor travels daily to stores within and outside the Region to conduct physical inventories of the stores merchandise. A typical full scanning audit is conducted, upon completion of the audit, the auditor works with the Store Manager to review the audit results and communicate the results and observations to the Director of Inventory.
Primary Job Functions:

* Conduct Audits of assigned facilities on a semi-annual schedule.
* Responsible in assisting in relocations of market stores and or new acquisitions.
* Work with location Managers on resolving inventory discrepancies and ensuring the best practices of inventory management are being followed.
* Preparation and distribution of weekly and monthly reports related to inventory status by location, or other areas as may be appropriate.
* Review, consolidate, and turn in results from Audit counts from assigned locations to Director of Inventory
* Investigate and resolve inventory issues at assigned locations on a timely basis through the effective interaction with location Managers.
* Identify failures to execute proper inventory management and reporting cases to appropriate members of management.
* Supply location management with root cause analysis. ICS must approve all Corrective action plans prior to reporting results to the (ICM)
* Report observation of any security risks from assigned locations, through the Audit report.
* Complete full reconciliation on all Inventory shrink in assigned locations
* Direct and lead location Managers in inventory integrity through awareness of process breakdowns.
* Ensure all locations are prepared for their audit through pre Inventory checklist and scheduled inventory calls through the completion of the audit.
* Other duties as assigned

Education:

* High School Diploma
* 1-2 years' experience working in inventory or a related area.

The District Auditor position is responsible for counting all physical inventories, generating department audit reports, reconciling computer data with the physical counts taken and reporting on errors found. The position also works with each department to reduce errors in inventory accuracy.
$500 Sign on Bonus after 500 hours worked.

Responsibilities

+ Auditor will perform front line accounting review at store level during retail inventory audits Collaborate with District Manager's and Store Manager's to identify store issues

+ Develop preliminary audit schedule for district including neighboring store rotation

+ Assist Store Manager with invoice concerns, store organization, price adjustments and abnormalities discovered in system

+ Conduct visual checklist at each store detailing store conditions, maintenance issues, safety concerns, marketing promotions and loss prevention awareness.

+ Auditor will complete 16-20 retail inventory audits monthly including lottery, importing data to computer for processing to complete audit paperwork, print reports, key into system and upload/scan supporting documentation

+ Auditor will achieve established average per hour (APH) counting goal while ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data collected

+ Ability to work in various work environments with potential exposure to cold and heat

+ Relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation and builds partnerships

+ Takes initiative to explore and suggest new approaches that can impact quality and/or quantity of job performance and organizational effectiveness, innovative Maintains a can do attitude, attacks job with passion, demonstrates a sense of urgency and delivers excellent output

+ Ability to complete other job related duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

+ Frequent bending, counting on knees and moving product up to 25lbs

+ Repetitive motions requiring use of both wrists and hands using counting machines

+ Proficient in computer operations to include Microsoft Office and Open Office applications

+ Auditor will be expected to travel including occasional overnight stays w/ Reliable transportation to perform audits throughout the assigned market
