  • Uses high concentration to perform daily finished goods & raw material cycle counts & root cause analysis & correct as needed. Interacts with Planners, Shipping, Receiving, Accounting, Production, & Material Handling daily as needed.
  • Performs cycle count on material & components. Verifies verbally & in writing to reconcile book to physical inventory.

Responsible as subject matter expert for warehouse SOPs, monitoring inventory transactions, correcting and reporting inventory discrepancies, and reporting inventory accuracy levels. Lead root cause analysis and process mapping/improvement events, new item setups and implements slotting changes. Trains team members on WMS/LMS systems, proactively assesses performance through quantitative performance analysis and recommends process improvements. Act as liaison between peers and site management.

Provides inventory management analysis and recommendations as it relates to new item integration, new item validation and materials, verify new item setups and accuracy of data against item master.Works with Inventory, Management, and Cost Accounting teams on recommended changes to item master.Acts as a subject matter expert and team trainer in WMS/LMS systems. Train and assist team members in the concepts of inventory control. Serves as a technical resource to others in resolving complex inventory problems, and review the work of site associates. Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years of warehousing experience with WMS/LMS systems (JDA/Red Prairie preferred); proficiency in using Microsoft Office Excel required.
Associate's Degree in Business or related field with experience in finance/accounting preferred and familiarity with ERP systems preferred.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time (with frequent interruptions), walk, stoop, reach, bend at the waist, grasp, on a regular basis; and occasionally move or lift up to 50 pounds and climb steps and/or ladders . Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs. Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements of typical office work. Talking, hearing, and seeing are mandatory elements of completing assigned tasks. Must be able to drive a vehicle as well as use office equipment such as a copier, fax, stapler, telephone, computer, and calculator.

Work Environment

May be exposed to extreme heat and/or cold depending upon the weather conditions when working on the docks or driving a vehicle.

The Inventory Control Analyst responsibilities include implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure an adequate supply of product to service customer needs while minimizing working inventory investment by assessing demand activity. The Analyst will reflect demand changes in our planning systems to ensure high accuracy of forecast needs and ensure accuracy in inventory records, item usage history, and forecasting files. The position also serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems. This individual will be a subject matter expert in cycle counts within a warehouse or off-site location to identify and eliminate problems found in the counts and/or workflow.
