    Martinsburg, WV 1 st Shift - Monday to Friday $65k-$75k with medical, dental, PTO, holidays This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory control, data management, and SAP system usage within a plastic extrusion manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong domain knowledge of extrusion processes, understands inventory flows, and can create and maintain accurate SOPs and process documentation. With 10 years of relevant experience, this person acts as a central liaison between production, materials, planning, quality, and IT. Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain inventory control systems: cycles count, reconciliation, variance analysis, root cause of discrepancies. Configure, maintain, and optimize SAP modules (MM, WM, PP, etc.) related to materials/inventory, production planning, batch tracking, and reporting. Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory handling, material movements, production data capture, SAP transactions, reporting. Ensure proper data integrity: master data maintenance (material master, BOM, routing), material valuation, lot traceability, batch records, change control. Provide training and support to production, planning, and warehouse teams on SAP usage, best practices, and process adherence. Analyze production/inventory metrics (e.g. inventory turns, WIP levels, scrap, yield) and provide actionable insights and continuous improvement. Partner with planning, sourcing, and maintenance to coordinate material flow, shutdowns, tool changes, and process transitions. Lead or participate in cross-functional improvement teams (e.g., cost reduction, lean, quality, ERP enhancements). Oversee documentation for audits, internal reviews, change control, and compliance (ISO, regulatory). Periodically audit physical inventory vs system, drive corrective actions to minimize variances. Support system upgrades, data migration, testing, and validation when SAP or IT changes are deployed. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred). 10 years of experience in a manufacturing / plastics / extrusion environment with inventory control / SAP responsibilities. Strong expertise with SAP modules relevant to materials, production, and inventory (MM, WM, PP, etc.). Hands-on experience in master data setup, BOMs, routings, change control, batch / lot management. Excellent analytical skills; skilled in identifying discrepancies, root causes, and leading corrective actions. Proven ability to write, revise, and enforce SOPs and standard processes. Strong interpersonal and training capabilities; ability to communicate with operators, planners, maintenance, and IT. Proficiency with MS Excel, reporting tools, data analysis, KPI dashboards. Detail-oriented, process-driven, and quality-focused mindset. Experience in continuous improvement, lean, or Six Sigma is a plus. Ability to work on shop floor, in production environment, and in office/IT settings. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Typical manufacturing environment: noise, temperature variation, use of PPE. Frequent walking, standing, occasional lifting (up to ~30-50 lb) to inspect inventory or materials. Must be able to review production sites, warehouse, and be present on shifts as needed.
