Job description

We are looking for a quality inventory control Lead with a strong sense of detail and efficiency. This position requires PC proficiency and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Must be extremely detail minded with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and processes have a strong grasp of cycle count planning and control, be highly dependable and flexible to work when needed.

Schedule: 4 days on / 3 days off!

1st Shift Thursday through Saturday + Additional day from 7 AM-5:30 PM (10 hour shift)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check in bulk shipments and receive in the portal.
  • Ensure prompt put away of inventory.
  • Maintain full bins from overstock locations.
  • Keep bins neat and organized.
  • Key inventory moves in the portal.
  • Knowledge of acceptable substitutions and key substitutions into the portal.
  • Report any stock level issues to inventory Controller.
  • Work with Barcode Pick Batch Controller to organize the picking of product.
  • Assist inventory lead as needed.
  • Report employee incidents and safety incidents or hazard to Management team.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of one years of experience in working in manufacturing/production is a plus.
  • Minimum of one years of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office required.
  • Strong Inventory control skills.
  • Strong analytical/critical thinking.

  • Must be self-motivated, able to function autonomously, well organized, detail oriented and efficient under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, team building and problem solving skills;

Summary Establish and maintain an inventory management system for Round Lake Drug Delivery. Lead employees, following company policy, to balance workloads and adjust assignments, and develop effective procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the inventory operation. Position will partner with Engineering and manufacturing to ensure that parts dispensed into production meet machine specifications through effective receiving inspection and functional testing. Position will ensure that review, investigation and resolution of balance comparisons between the inventory item physical location and system location exist. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for conducting purchasing functions related to the acquisition of materials, equipment, operating supplies, and plant contract services.
  • Directs the activities of the parts cage technicians and interfaces with the production, engineering, and maintenance departments in the plant.
  • Involvement in strategic sourcing initiatives and selection of new suppliers.
  • Analyze and maintain reports on inventory costs, and budgetary reports to ensure the facility is operating effectively.
  • Direct parts cage reconciliation to ensure operational and system accuracy
  • Manage cycle counts and other various inventory audit practices.
  • Interface with manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering personnel to source for resolution of inventory inquires.
  • Complete documentation for supplier approvals, new item set up, lead time, and standard cost updates, payment terms (Maximo, JDE, Coupa, Sparefinders).
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, place orders, receive and put away spare parts.
  • Resolve and initiate return of products, repairs, and refurbished items.
  • Enter parts cage inventory item usage into Maximo
  • Assist in maintaining satellite inventory levels throughout multiple areas of the plant
Qualifications
  • Familiar with the Maximo, JDE, Coupa, Sparefinders or similar software platforms required.
  • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance or Reliability Centered Maintenance a plus.
  • Experience with Purchasing, Cycle Counting and Inventory Management
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. One to three years’ supervisory experience preferred.
  • 1 or more years of experience in a technical or business related field in the inventory part cage function
