SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for managing supplies to meet market demands while avoiding oversupply. This involves conducting regular inspections and assessments, reviewing invoices and other documentation, monitoring product distribution, and producing progress reports regularly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Ensures the accuracy of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory for onsite and offsite warehouses, with general supervision.
Required to develop and maintain standard work instructions for the cycle count program; be solely responsible for leading the cycle count program by coordinating and conducting ongoing cycle counts and directing personnel; and responsible for preparing weekly metrics for cycle counting and creating and implementing new procedures and forms as needed to assist in improving job functions.
Analyze and verify all material inventory numbers for accuracy; investigate inventory discrepancies daily, review any discrepancies, and make all necessary corrections and adjustments; maintain inventory accuracy and direct daily cycle counting on all store items; and perform inventory transfers and scrap inventory processing.
Partner with the Finance Department on high-dollar inventory variances and troubleshoot and resolve issues such as negative inventory locations and production supply inventory; create countermeasures to prevent discrepancies and variances found in SAP; and interact and communicate with different departments to resolve critical issues and discrepancies.
Lead and work on special projects without supervision, can adapt to change, interact well with other departments, and be a collaborator.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Completing the Basics of Supply Chain Management module of the APICS (or equivalent) within two years of employment is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Basic addition and subtraction skills.
JOB SKILLS

Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is required, as well as the ability to participate in 5S-related performance teams.
Having strong writing skills is essential for completing documents and forms accurately and effectively.

For tracking inventory at warehouses not onboard NAS JAX, the employee shall utilize the existing Excel inventory tracking system provided by FRCSE.
Maintain the tracking system to identify the exact physical location of all parts, components, material and kits within each warehouse. Each time a component or kit is moved within the warehouse, the employee shall document the action appropriately in the Government provided databases
Required Experience, Training & Certifications:
Must be comfortable in the use of Microsoft Office applications, a mature and respectful demeanor and a professional appearance are a must.
Any candidate that has past ATICS and MAXIMO data system experience is a plus.
History of working in a well-structured industrial environment, a working knowledge of lean six sigma and ISO 9000 principles is desirable.

The Service Center Material Specialist is responsible for coordinating activities in the service center shop and managing all materials, tools/calibrated equipment, and safety functions within the Service Center.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage inventory of parts by monitoring reorder points and quantities to maintain required inventory. Receive and document all stock transfers as well as manage all in-house stock transfers for shop and fieldwork.
* Review work specs to determine parts needed to perform work successfully. Cross reference parts from tech manuals and drawings to obtain correct FMD part numbers. Correspond with FMD Technical Team to confirm needed parts. Work with an estimating team to develop quotes.
* Maintain list of all Calibrated/Special Tooling needed for projects. Issue tools to technicians for needed work and ensure issued tools are returned at the end of the project. Deliver tools to outside vendors for calibration per schedule. Manage any repair or replacement of existing tools as needed. Order new tools when identified as being needed.
* Maintain shop equipment and company vehicles. Arrange vendors for inspection, maintenance, and/or repair of equipment, vehicles, and facility. Work with a purchasing team to submit Requisitions for vendors as needed.
* Handle all requests for shipping and receiving of any parts, tools, or other items coming into or leaving the Service Center with all applicable paperwork.
* Track inventory of consumable goods required for shop and field work. Order items to replenish stock as needed.
* Ensure a safe environment for employees through adherence to safety policies by assessing and eliminating hazards, improving housekeeping standards, conducting incident investigations, and implementing corrective action. Will assume the responsibilities of the Service Center Safety Champion.
* Under direction of the Service Center Supervisor, coordinate efforts and determine appropriate use of personnel to ensure Service Center production goals are met.
* Recommend capital expenditures necessary to improve product flow.
* Complete Weekly Cycle Counts for inventory tracking and perform Annual Physical Inventory.
* Assist with the training and oversight of new employees while performing work in the shop. Train new employees in how to operate shop equipment, including certifying new employees to operate the forklift. Must maintain the qualification to operate power truck (forklift) to transport material, utilizing safe methods to prevent damage to material and injuries to others. The Receiving & Inventory Associate plays a key role in ensuring that all inbound products are received, inspected, and entered accurately into our Warehouse Management System (WMS). This position includes standard warehouse responsibilities plus specialized duties in receiving, inventory accuracy, and quality control.
What You'll Do
Receive and inspect incoming shipments (parcel and freight) to verify accuracy and quality.
Match deliveries to purchase orders and record receipts in the WMS.
Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Report and document any damaged, missing, or overstocked goods.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve receiving issues.
Support standard warehouse tasks including picking, packing, and shipping orders.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in receiving, inventory control, or fulfillment operations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Working knowledge of WMS or inventory management systems.
Comfortable using scanners, tablets, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
Reliable, punctual, and collaborative team player.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift.
Forklift certification preferred.
Must live in or near Fort Myers, FL with reliable transportation.
