Position Overview
As an Operations Specialist - Omni you'll be responsible for the operational execution within the Pet Care Center with specific focus on our Omni channel, through the lens of Petco's vision of "Healthier Pets. Objective:
The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, supporting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring products are properly received, stored, and issued. This role will also serve as a warehouse “floater,” assisting in various warehouse functions such as picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and general operational support as needed. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety procedures.

Inventory Control:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts; reconcile variances and report discrepancies.
Monitor inventory accuracy in the warehouse and ERP/WMS systems.
Investigate root causes of inventory errors and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of inventory (FIFO/FEFO).
Conduct location audits to confirm items are in the correct bins and stocked properly.
Track inbound and outbound inventory movements to support accurate reporting.
Assist with physical inventory counts and audit preparation.
Implement process improvements to increase inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Warehouse Support:
Assist with picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.
Provide support with receiving, unloading, and verifying incoming shipments.
Help stage materials for production or outbound delivery.
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks (if certified).
Maintain general warehouse cleanliness and organization (5S standards).
Support team members in other assignments to meet operational goals and deadlines.
Data & Reporting:
Update inventory records, adjustments, and transfers in the ERP/WMS.
Communicate inventory issues to supervisors and relevant departments.
Prepare standard inventory and warehouse activity reports as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 years of inventory control or warehouse experience preferred.
Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Sage 300, NetSuite, or similar).
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on warehouse floors for extended periods.
Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to ten pounds without assistance and at times up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:

Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory in their dispensary. They drive sales through maintaining an up to date and stocked online and in-store menu. They ensure all AYR policies and regulatory requirements are adhered to. The Inventory Control Specialist reports to the Retail Inventory Manager and the Dispensary Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate counts of all inventories by doing daily counts and performing reconciliations when necessary
* Ensure that all product is properly tagged according to state and local regulations and is accompanied by all necessary paperwork
* Reconcile inventory to ensure that all information is accurately porting to the state system and no malfunctions are occurring
* Keep a clean and well-organized shop/Storage area that allows for unencumbered access to product, sinks, cleaning areas, and workstations
* Maintain all delivery records and invoices according to the methods prescribed by the General Manager and state regulations
* Ensure that all items meet the required quality standards and specifications
* Generate purchase orders or transfers to fulfill sale order requirements
* Run and maintain inventory level reports
* Take pride in the appearance of the store by ensuring all areas, including restrooms, are consistently clean, safe, and guest-ready
Qualifications
* Ability to collaborate and work with others, while also able to work with limited supervision
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies
* Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies
* Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies
