Position Overview
We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to monitor and report on the company's inventory. The accurate and efficient handling of products is critical to CISCO's success. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, hard-working professional with excellent record-keeping abilities and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Perform manual inventory adjustments each day
Check daily seed mixing reports against system inventory journals to ensure accuracy
Perform cycle counts by following product category schedule based on total sales, warehouse location, and buyer requests
Check and correct product locations and cross references, collect damage, consolidate product
Recount and investigate variances
Review invoiced credit memos, record necessary inventory adjustments, and ensure defective items were not returned to inventory
Investigate shipping backorders and correct the cause, if applicable
Investigate shipping/receiving discrepancies. Reach conclusion based on inventory count and/or security camera footage and correct
Assist buyers with various inventory-related requests
Check date-sensitive product lines for rotation immediately after receipt of product
Maintain schedule to spot count bird food ingredients and stock mixes
Review permanent location items in racks and replace product based on sales or product discontinuation
Spot count major seed products regularly
Prepare for and organize yearly seed physical inventory count
Assist with trade show activities
Assist with altering warehouse layout and rack levels
Other duties as necessary

The Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS) manages and maintains the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), the national repository of critical medicines, medical supplies, and medical equipment established to protect the American public if there is a public health emergency severe enough to cause local supplies to run out.
The division procures and ensures that medical assets are stored and managed at the highest level of the Food and Drug Administration's current Good Manufacturing Practices, and delivers these assets, which are designed to supplement state and local public health agencies in the event of a large-scale public health emergency in the United States or its territories. During such a national emergency, the DSNS may deploy a team of advisors to provide technical assistance to the state(s) receiving the stockpile medical assets.
Scope of Work:
Overall: Support Warehouse management operations.
Provide knowledge in inventory control systems, data entry, electronic packing, shipping and receiving, and computer data entry.
Enter data into the Inventory Management System upon receipt or issue of products/equipment program wide.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory management systems to maintain data accuracy.
Monitor operating inventory management systems, and management tools for the asset accountability
Operate data conversion equipment to generate and/or verify a large variety of subject matter information from many types of source documents.

Have the ability to work with 3PL on specific supply chain problems, shipping, receiving and storage.

Expedite repair parts or services needed per machine failure. Collaborate with Technicians and Supervisors on part identification and usage. Place requisitions, purchase orders, amend current purchase orders by changing dates, amounts or cancel existing orders to support the needs of the department. Determine if parts need to be inventoried. Search for best price and service. Work with corporate purchasing and negotiate with supplier for best price break and delivery available. Follow up on late or incorrect deliveries. Use approved suppliers were prudent and possible to do so.
Approve or disapprove invoices for repair and/or services. Communicate weekly with accounting to establish identification on repair charges. Monitor daily charges to the maintenance account and scan for non-department charges.
Monitor usage of repair parts. Identify the items that need to have min/max and minimum order quantities established. Establish a 2nd and 3rd supplier when applicable.
Maintain up-to-date documentation on all suppliers, vendors, and repair organizations. This would include primary contacts, phone/fax numbers, websites, warranties, etc. Participate in departmental meetings, as well as supplier meetings both at the company and the supplier. * Expedite repair parts or services needed per machine failure. Collaborate with Technicians and Supervisors on part identification and usage. The division procures and ensures that medical assets are stored and managed at the highest level of the Food and Drug Administration's current Good Manufacturing Practices, and delivers these assets, which are designed to supplement state and local public health agencies in the event of a large-scale public health emergency in the United States or its territories. During such a national emergency, the DSNS may deploy a team of advisors to provide technical assistance to the state(s) receiving the stockpile medical assets.
Scope of Work:
Overall: Support Warehouse management operations.
Provide knowledge in inventory control systems, data entry, electronic packing, shipping and receiving, and computer data entry.
Enter data into the Inventory Management System upon receipt or issue of products/equipment program wide.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory management systems to maintain data accuracy.

Assist in managing a variety of biological products with various cold chain management requirements
Ensure documents are complete and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) are maintained.
Apply comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of supply and logistics processes, concepts, policies and regulations to manage difficult work assignments affecting supply operations and equipment.
Have the ability to work with 3PL on specific supply chain problems, shipping, receiving and storage.

As a Inventory Control Associate you will:
Performs cycle at the beginning of every month to ensure inventory accuracy, and security of companys merchandise.
Follows companys scanning policy, and reports all discrepancies to management.
Investigates all unallocated merchandise.
Ensures all ISTs and transfers are done properly.
Verifies all customer pick-ups are picked and finalized correctly.
Trains all warehouse, when needed, to properly locating merchandise to reduce inaccuracy.
Prepares reports recording accuracy and recovery of all inventory.
Investigates shortages of inventory and recommends measures to be implemented to prevent shortages.
Reports all scanned short and scanned sold to inventory manager to resolve incorrect merchandise.
Reports all damaged merchandise to management including pictures for security.
Accept responsibility for safety and security of all company property in assigned area.
Maintain equipment and work area is in clean and orderly condition.
Maintains records and files in an orderly condition.
Perform duties in accordance with companys safety rules and operating regulations and practices. Report any unsafe conditions or practices.
Undertake and support any policy, change, system or work rules the company implements regarding the purpose of this position.
Must be able to left, stoop, bend, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to sit/stand for an eight hour shift.
