ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assists in making of all size taps, types of joints and in repairing all types of broken mains, valves, meters, lines and hydrants. Installs water meters, service piping, valves and components associated with the water distribution system. Removes and/or replaces dirt, water, materials and/or debris from the work site. Reads, removes and replaces water meters. Handles and mixes bags of cement and maneuvers in a wheelbarrow. Performs routine tasks with hand tools (shovels, rakes, wrenches, trowels, etc.). This role ensures that inventory levels are sufficient to meet business needs while minimizing excess or obsolete stock. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and proficient in monitoring inventory transactions and reconciling discrepancies. This is a fulltime position and the hours are 6:00AM - 2:30 PM or 3:00PM - 11:30PM, 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday.
