ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Unload materials from delivery equipment and inspect for visual damage. Coordinate the filing of a damage claim, if required, with the traffic specialist.
Open boxes and verify the count of material against the packing list to determine if there are shortages.
Move materials to Quality Control and to Stores after receipt.
Store materials in a location and record the location for retrieval.
Issue materials to the shop floor or work orders for manufacturing.

About the role
We are looking to add an Inventory Specialist to our growing Inventory Department. As an Inventory Specialist, you will report to the Inventory Supervisor and be responsible for assisting customers with item pick/put-away needs, receiving/shipping of items, filling out the proper documentation and logging information into Riot's software system. You will also be responsible for down-stacking, and re-palletizing boxes by hand, wrap/band pallets manually or with a machine, cycle count and maintain open communication with team members and leadership about task and task completion. This fully on-site position will directly support our Inventory operations at our Rockdale, TX facility.
Essential Functions
* Cycle count inventory and maintain accurate counts of inventory.
* Inventory management specifically in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
* Update inventory counts using various inventory computer programs.
* Keep strict batch records and received shipment records.
* Verify material count from deliveries matches packing slips; report any differences between actual count and stock levels.
* Identify damaged, returned or miss ordered inventory and fill out the appropriate paperwork for any returns.
* Accurately complete and record all paperwork in a timely manner and submit to the supervisor.
* Receive and process deliveries.
* Operate forklift/sky track/pallet jack to load/unload trucks and move material around the campus.
* Inspect equipment for safety and maintenance, reporting any issues discovered.
* Basic housekeeping such as sweeping, dusting, and keeping the warehouse clean.

What You'll Do
Lead and execute the physical recovery, staging, and initial processing of high-value and often time-sensitive product hardware..
Perform hands-on tasks for disassembly, inspection, and safe handling of sensitive, hazardous or large assemblies using precision tools and machinery (power tools, forklifts, specialized recovery equipment).
Develop and maintain detailed procedures, specifications, and test instructions for recovery and initial refurbishment/triage processes.

Logistics and Asset Management:
Ensure meticulous logging and tracking of all recovered components and critical data using internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and asset management systems.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (Service Technicians, Engineers, Logistics, and vendors) to orchestrate seamless and cost-effective recovery logistics.
Quality and Continuous Improvement:
Conduct initial auditing and diagnostic troubleshooting to assess hardware condition and validate repair/return orders against documentation.
Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts by providing accurate documentation and initial findings to design and quality engineering teams.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the speed, safety, and efficiency of recovery operations, reducing non-conformance and operational costs.
