Position Overview:
The Inventory Controller will manage multiple divisions to drive sales, profit and inventory targets.
By analyzing inventory risks and opportunities and implementing inventory allocation strategies, this position will control the appropriate inventory levels in stores, reducing the out of stock and maximizes sales opportunities

Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the dealership lot, including the purchasing, receiving, inspection, and maintenance of vehicles, as well as the overall cleanliness and organization of the lot. The Inventory Specialist will also work closely with the Sales Department to ensure that vehicles are properly displayed and ready for sale.
Essential Duties
Receive and inspect incoming vehicles
Stock in new arrivals
Setup service plans for inventory inspections
Prepare inventory for online presence
Merchandise inventory on the lot and online
Write description in Vauto for each pre-owned vehicle
Conduct weekly lot inspections and mileage checks
Assist sales and sales management with any inventory questions or needs
Maintains contact with federal, state, and/or local government agencies and utilities to secure fleet business, actively utilizing the bidding process.
Solicits commercial fleet accounts.
Ensures quality deliveries of all fleet sales.
Acts as source for national and local courtesy deliveries (supplying specifications as needed for orders).
Provides out-of-stock service for fleet accounts and local leasing companies in conjunction with new-vehicle department manager.
Supplies new-vehicle department manager with monthly forecasts of fleet car and truck deliveries.
Follows up on dealership payment for delivered fleet, lease company and commercial account vehicles routinely.
Maintains professional appearance.
Other tasks as assigned.
