Inventory technician job description

· Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory, warehousing, data entry, accounting or related field

Physical Requirements:

● Must be able to work quickly but efficiently, while maintaining the integrity of the product.

● Light to moderate lifting of up to 50 lbs; heavier weights with assistance.

● Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.

● Repetitive motions and understanding of lab equipment.

● Must wear company-provided lab coats, hair/beard nets, gloves, surgical masks and safety glasses/ goggles/ splash shield, while working in the lab.

● Must adhere to the Syracuse facility general hygiene requirements.

● Capacity to stay focused on the task at hand.

Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

Additionally, candidates who accept an offer of employment will be provided with instructions for securely submitting proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to the individual's start date, as well as the Company's process for requesting and completing an applicable medical or religious exemption form. No medical documentation should be submitted to the Company prior to receiving such instructions from the Company's recruiter or other designated human resources professional

Following the standards of practice, provides transport for supplies, equipment, documents, and other miscellaneous materials pursuant to the goals of Cottage Health. To support inventory supply process of Consolidated Service Center, including receiving, checking, stocking, and completing requisitions.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION


Minimum: High school grad or equivalent


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


Minimum: Valid California driver license. Driving record may not contain any DUI or reckless driving citations for the past 7 years.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS


Minimum: Knowledge of Materials Management Information systems and computerized inventory control systems.

Preferred: Knowledge of excel and MS word computer programs.


YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE


Minimum: Minimum 1 year experience in a storeroom or warehouse setting

Preferred: Minimum 1 year experience as a delivery driver.

Job Summary
As an Inventory Technician, you'll order, receive and maintain workplace inventory. In this role, you'll create a clean and efficient environment through frequent communication with vendors to ensure product deliveries.

Responsibilities
Manage inventory of all kitchen and office supplies Stock copy centers, kitchens and various other locations with supplies Create purchase orders and approve invoices Fulfill general team member, business and physical environment needs and requests Organize and maintain general storage rooms Build relationships with vendors and clients Forecast supply needs Perform regularly scheduled inventory counts and audits Verify accuracy of incoming inventory Work on various projects to support the needs of our team members Regularly utilize inventory management and procurement programs
