Job Description
Job Purpose:
Provide MDS commercial administrative support for global business partners and to manage MDS spend. Inventory management using Optimize Spend (Formally F.I.T.S.), MDS invoice processing, contract review and vendor relationship management.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
* Maintain process documentation for workflows relating to the invoice and MDS pricing update processes
* Process vendor invoices verified against contractual obligations to verify accurate billing and allocations within
Market Data Services inventory system (i.e.: FITS: Optimize Spend)
* Deal with vendors on billing queries to resolve invoice variances and update MDS inventory system
* Provide a full range of MDS administrative support whilst maintaining all aspects of the market data inventory system
* Work alongside the MDS senior team to assist with MDS vendor management of existing services and procurement of new services and contracts
* Assist with new service requests and task flow application - Service Now
* Assist with the flow of new contracts through internal Legal teams and ensure use policies and procedures are followed globally
* Coordination with Technology Product and Support managers as appropriate with setting up and onboarding new services and data
* Assist with annual business budget planning and analysis
* Assist with managing MDS vendors on existing services and procurement of new service contracts
* Assist internal business partners with data requests and access through MDS platforms
Work Experience / Knowledge:
* Experience of working within the Investment Services industry - with a preference for Index and Ratings Data
* Good knowledge and confidence with using Excel
* Experience of vendor invoicing and MDS business principles
* Experience of managing an MDS inventory system from one of the key providers. Ideally someone with Optimize Spend knowledge
* Experience with working with MDS vendors and products including those from the key vendors - Bloomberg, Factset, Morningstar, Refinitiv, Exchanges, Rating Agencies, and Research vendors
* Experience and understanding of vendor contract language
* Understanding of the business drivers within an investment services company
* Understanding of Broker Soft $ procedures and methodology advantageous

Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of scheduled and ad-hoc CLO reporting (ie monthly reports, quarterly payment reports) and providing other reporting requirements for internal/external clients including, but not limited, to the investment team, trustees, team members, legal & compliance. Familiarity and experience with reconciliation and tie-out duties for Invesco CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligations) mid-month and monthly reporting effort in support of CLO portfolio manager.
Provide weekly reports run in support of PM/analyst team. To include support on reinvestment and post-reinvestment cycles.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team to ensure the group provides top-tier service to both internal and external clients and service providers.

About the Department/Team:
The Investment & Distribution Services team is responsible for all Global Investment Services Technology projects and programs across the globe. About the Role:

U.S. Summer Analyst Program
Each year, we invite high-performing, rising college seniors to join our Global Investment Banking (GIB) platform for a 10-week U.S. Summer Analyst Program. The program offers Summer Analysts an opportunity to work alongside our investment bankers on a variety of live transactions as well as client- facing business development initiatives.
What will you do?
GIB provides a complete suite of strategic advisory services, as well as equity and debt capital raising capabilities for leading corporations, institutions and governments. RBC Capital Markets' Houston office recruits for the Energy industry group.
As a GIB Summer Analyst you will spend your time:
* Developing and preserving complex financial models
* Creating pitch books and other client materials
* Generating and maintaining financial models and analysis
* Conducting research to analyze market trends
* Supporting live deals and major transactions
What do you need to succeed?
In selecting Summer Analysts, we look for the following:
* Undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study at an accredited four-year college or university
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills
* Familiarity with computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

What is the opportunity? Wealth Management Banker - Support RBC USWM field and management in growing the cash and lending business through serving as the key contact for financial advisors and their clients. The Wealth Management Banker will build Advisor product awareness and understanding of the full cash management and lending platform of RBC USWM.
What will you do?
* Effectively communicate the importance of incorporating lending and cash management into an advisory practice to financial advisors and clients.
* Partner with Financial Advisors to understand their clients, identify and analyze business opportunities and assist in driving cash management and lending revenue.
* Build cash management and lending product awareness among RBC Financial Advisors.
* Serve as the key relationship manager to financial advisors for their clients' cash management and lending needs
* Be accountable to key performance metrics including the development and maintenance of a pipeline of opportunities to meet all client and FA targets, including, but not limited to loan commitments and balances, revenue, units and Advisor participation.
* Have a basic knowledge level of City National Bank (CNB) banking and lending solutions and work with CNB Banking Advisors to create a seamless credit experience across the platform
* Report key performance metrics to the Divisional Manager, Wealth Management Banking, along with various PCG field management.
* Partner with the Associate Banker(s) to provide FAs and their clients cash management and lending solutions and support.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
* Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience
* 5+ years' experience at a wealth management firm, with direct experience in cash management and lending solutions
* SIE, Series 7 and 63, or ability to obtain within 90 days
* Proven business development experience, preferably within the cash management and lending space in a wealth management context
* Strong understanding of cash management and lending products including bank deposits, certificates of deposits, securities-based loans and high net worth tailored lending products.
* Strong drive to grow a business and hit key performance targets while ensuring products are suitable for clients and properly managing risk to the firm
Nice-to-have
* Demonstrated interpersonal effectiveness of working with a diverse set of departments across an organization
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business environments and adjust strategic plan, if necessary
