• Audit insider threat activities.
• Recommend strategies for assessing inappropriate use of the Department's networks; research and recommend tools for monitoring employee computer use and assessing user behavior.

• Perform in-depth log analysis to determine trend, patterns, and suspicious activity.
• Monitor, maintain, and operate the telecommunications firewall system; investigate abnormal phone activities.
• Interface and coordinate with other U.S. Government, Intelligence Community, and Law Enforcement organizations performing insider threat auditing.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
• Possess CCNA, CEH, Cloud+, CySA+, GCIH, or similar certification.
• Experience with digital evidence acquisition, user activity monitoring, and technical investigative analysis.
• Experience performing insider threat analysis.

The Investigative Analyst is responsible for processing investigative searches including criminal, credit, and income for residential and employment applicants of Western Reporting customers. This individual will be responsible for providing a quality investigative report in a timely manner for Western Reporting customers to make a final leasing and employment decisions.

The Investigative Analyst will be required to process a high volume of searches daily. The successful candidate will enjoy working at a fast pace while maintaining high attention to detail. Our industry is changing, so they will need to be highly adaptable to a constantly changing environment and should always be looking for opportunities to grow, evolve, and improve processes to increase efficiency.

What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)

Process investigative searches using the Western Reporting screening system
Research and investigate search result data
Complete investigative search products according to FCRA regulations
Keep well informed of the latest industry best practices and company operating procedures for performing background screenings and criminal record searches
First level phone support for clients, end-users and internal staff
Other operations duties as assigned by manager
Work in multiple platforms and websites throughout the day
Able to work occasional Saturday shift rotation
