As a Criminal Investigator (Special Agent), you will perform duties such as:
* Serve as a Special Agent for interagency, multi-jurisdictional, international, and/or inter-organizational inquiries and investigations;

Dual Compensation Off-Set Waiver for Criminal Investigators (Special Agents) Approved for Rehires: This announcement is being used to recruit CSRS and FERS annuitants on a limited basis with a waiver of salary offset (if a dual compensation waiver is requested) under certain specified circumstances not to exceed 6/30/2028 excluding annuitants with early voluntary and buyout retirements.
Annuitants who are reemployed with a salary offset (dual compensation) waiver are eligible for:
* Full annuity and full Federal salary
* Annual and sick leave (not applicable for an intermittent work schedule)
* Full-time work schedules

We seek to grow our Transfusion Medicine, Vascular Biology and Cell Therapy Program by recruiting innovative investigators with research interests in transfusion medicine and related fields such as cell therapy, gene therapy, glycobiology, and vascular biology. Applicants at all academic ranks with Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degrees are encouraged to apply. For physician-scientists, clinical transfusion medicine duties (up to 20% effort) may include blood bank oversight, transfusion consultations, therapeutic apheresis, and quality assurance activities. * Coordinate and interact with all appropriate law enforcement and other investigative agencies on scene in a professional and courteous manner.
* Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group as assigned.

Conduct preliminary investigations, involving internal and external research, detailed data analyses, review of medical records, and interviews of members, providers, and other third parties. Analyzes information gathered by the investigation/audit and report findings, preparing written summaries and recommendations. Conducts investigative interviews of patients and providers as necessary.
Prepare evidence package for referral to third parties including contract holders, state insurance fraud bureaus and law enforcement agencies. Respond to subpoenas and requests for information from law enforcement agencies and State Departments of Insurance. May represent company as a witness in judicial proceedings when appropriate.
Performs special projects requiring expertise in fraud detection, data analytics, investigation, claim auditing and other areas related to Special Investigations. Completes reports of investigative findings and recommends investigative next steps. Identifies root causes of fraud, proposing internal and external corrective actions to address these root causes. Advises on investigative priorities, strategies, and techniques.
Apply laws, regulations, plan policies and guidelines, contract provisions, coding rules, coverage rules, and industry standards to information gathered during the investigation. Share expertise and promoting investigative best practices among management and staff. Educate and collaborate with various business units to raise awareness of potential concerns.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in health related field or equivalent education is required.
Minimum 3 years' experience in health insurance investigation/audit.
Master's Degree preferred
Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI) certification or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred
Nursing or other clinical experience highly preferred

Allied Universal is hiring a Surveillance Investigator. The Surveillance Investigator will perform discreet mobile and stationary surveillance of a Claimant to confirm current activities and capabilities to assist with the administration of an Insurance claim.
No office to go to - travel daily to cases in the field!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct independent investigations of insurance claims across a range of coverage types, including workers' compensation, general liability, property and casualty, and disability
Utilize various surveillance techniques and equipment to monitor subjects covertly
Document and report observations, activities, and any relevant information in a clear and concise manner
Collaborate with other investigators and law enforcement agencies as needed to gather information and coordinate efforts
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards in conducting surveillance operations
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
High school diploma or equivalent
Post offer, must be able to successfully complete the Allied Universal Investigations' training/orientation course
