Internship Program Description
Each intern will be assigned a mentor at the Bank. This mentor will be a department officer with 5+ years of industry experience. The intern's time will be assigned primarily based on the learning opportunity it affords them within their fields of interest. PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position requires regular travel by the employee in the employee's own vehicle to other services centers located approximately 30+ miles away to provide Financial Service Representative services as scheduled by the Credit Union to ensure adequate coverage for other employee's paid time off or as needed.
Perform paying and receiving transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and miscellaneous transactions.
Assist members with payroll transactions, stop payments, address changes, statement copies, wire transfers, and removing and/or adding flags.
Cross sell Credit Union services as opportunities arise.
Balance assigned teller cash daily according to policy.
Cross train in other areas of the teller department where needed.

Internship Program Description
Each intern will be assigned a mentor at the Bank. This mentor will be a department officer with 5+ years of industry experience. When possible, the mentor will be in the intern's area of interest and the intern will be assigned work assignments in the mentor's department. The intern and the mentor will meet at least weekly to discuss questions, lessons, and areas for growth.
The 10-week summer internship will coincide with the end of the Spring Term and the beginning of the Fall Term. The position can be between 30 and 40 hours a week, depending on the availability of learning opportunities and the situational needs of the intern. The intern's time will be assigned primarily based on the learning opportunity it affords them within their fields of interest. The exact assignment of their time will also depend on what work is being completed at the Bank during their term.
The following opportunities will be provided as part of the internship when available:
Acting as a member of a multi-department or inner-department project group.
Assisting/shadowing 1-3 employees in their daily functions. The selections should be diversified to show different work styles and different areas of the Bank. One of these employees can be their mentor. Only one of these employees should be a branch employee.
Lessons on business etiquette and professionalism.
Lessons on the functional aspects of working at a Bank or small local business.
Exposure to senior management
Visiting multiple branches or departments
Attending or assisting with “Culture Events” at the Bank.
A dinner or celebration at the end of the term.
