Responsibilities: * Financially clears patients for each visit type, admit type and area of service via the Electronic Medical Record- EMR, electronic verification tools. * Accurately and efficiently performs registration using thorough interviewing techniques, registering patients in appropriate status, and following registration guidelines. * Starts the overall patient's experience and billing process for outpatient and inpatient services by collecting, documenting, and scanning all required demographic and financial information. * Responsible for obtaining and verifying accurate insurance information, benefit validation and authorizations. * Estimates and collects copays, deductibles, and other patient financial obligations. * Manages all responsibilities within hospital and department compliance guidelines and in accordance with Meaningful Use requirements. * Applies recurring visit processing according to protocol. * Performs duties otherwise assigned by management.
