Primary Functions of the Position:

• Complete project assignments in conjunction with rotations and work with appropriate oversight to complete
• Learn to accomplish objectives by developing and prioritizing actions as well as establishing and communicating the work plan to the appropriate participants
• Effectively communicate in one on one, small group and large group settings. Possible examples include business meetings, sales calls, training sessions, email communication, and conference calls
• Improve the quality of decision making by doing appropriate and thorough analysis

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor’s in: Finance, Business, Information Technology or related field
• Pursuing Master’s in: Finance, Business, Information Technology or related field

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with management and staff

• Proficient expertise with Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Highly motivated and organized with a desire to learn

CARROLL is seeking motivated university students to Intern with our Real Estate Investments Team in our Corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia during the summer of 2023. We invite you to spend the summer with us working alongside the Acquisition and Asset Management teams while gaining real world skills and industry knowledge.

As an Intern with CARROLL, you will:

• Participate in an intern orientation and training class
• Have a mentor who will guide and support you throughout the summer
• Spend 8 weeks supporting the Acquisitions and Asset Management teams by:
• Developing and using quantitative models for deals under consideration
• Assisting with due diligence and underwriting process
• Analyzing property financials, physical condition, cash flows, market trends, risk
• Assisting in the development of capital budgets
• Assisting in the preparation of investment packages for presentation to senior management and equity partners
• Assisting in implementation of business plan
• Performing and summarizing market research
• Analyzing and monitoring property performance
• Assisting with the preparation of investor reports
• Collecting and organizing information to prepare a response to investor requests
• Assisting in creation of business intelligence reports

Requirements

An ideal intern with Carroll has:

• Completed Junior or Senior year with declared major in finance or real estate
• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• A demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Excel
• Strong analytical, time management skills
• A demonstrated understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income
• A willingness to learn
• Terrific communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Capstone Partners ("Capstone") is seeking polished, articulate, highly motivated undergraduate students with a strong work ethic and fundamental accounting & financial skills to join internship program. Responsibilities:

+ Supporting deal teams on all aspects of the transactions (primarily sell-side M&A)

+ Capital Markets sector analysis

+ Analyze companies, industries, historical financial statements and prospective financial information

+ Analyze M&A market trends and writing related industry research

+ Update deal records in firmwide CRM (DealCloud)

+ Help in building financial models and performing valuation analyses

+ Assist in drafting proposal materials and transaction marketing documents

+ Support in identifying appropriate investors and/or strategic and financial buyers

+ Attend various trainings presented by internal and external hosts

+ Must have a willingness to take on additional projects and work outside of the scope of the job description

Requirements:

+ Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program; rising seniors preferred

+ General familiarity with accounting and finance

+ Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills

+ Strong work ethic

Compensation Range:

$19.00-$22.00

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
