Invicro CEO and leadership

Silva is inviCRO’s Senior Director of Imaging Research. In his role at inviCRO, Silva manages contract imaging research, oversees laboratory operations, performs new business development, and assists in strategic business initiatives. Silva holds a B.S. from Boston University and obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. During his three years at inviCRO and over ten years at Millennium/Takeda Pharmaceutical and Amgen, Silva built and directed imaging research laboratories focused on elucidating drug distribution and therapeutic effects in multiple disease areas, including oncology, neuroscience, inflammation, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and metabolic disorders. Silva applies his pharmaceutical R&D experience to the study and translation of imaging biomarkers at inviCRO.

Murgia is a founding member of inviCRO and currently serves as its Chief Operating Officer.  Since the company’s founding in 2008, Murgia has been responsible for organizational infrastructure and development. She oversees a variety of functional areas including finance and accounting, human resources, facilities, general administration and marketing. After beginning her career in nonprofit program and organizational management she transitioned into the corporate sector as cause marketing manager at Macy’s working on national awareness and multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns.  Murgia’s academic degrees include a BA in Ethics from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA with honors from the Universiteit Maastricht (Maastricht, The Netherlands). Her master’s work was focused on small business corporate social responsibility.

Jacob Hesterman is a Chief Technology Officer at Invicro LLC and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. He has worked as Manager, Applications Support at NanoSPECT project; Visiting Scientist, Frangioni Lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; and Imaging Research & Development at Bioscan Inc. Jacob studied at University of Arizona between 2002 and 2007 and University of Rochester.
