Responsible for Activity Coordination for their area(s) of responsibility, providing facility-specific expertise to achieve EHS&S, production, and cost targets, and provides direct people leadership of the Operators/Operating Technicians. Summary: With minimal supervision, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, design and manufacturing related functions required by key SBU account customers, working synergistically with sales and manufacturing to achieve all customer design targets and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Regularly attend customer design review meetings and provide technical design support for SBU solutions.
* Utilize all product offerings, providing insightful and detailed design solutions.
* Present design solutions to customer team, utilizing solid model design techniques during presentation.
* Drive prototype, tool build, and initial production build to meet customer timelines.
* Originate and release final production documentation, detailed with critical dimensions and tolerances required for a functional part, but also taking into account manufacturing restrictions.
* Manage and direct a product development design team consisting of multiple engineering disciplines.
* Manage and coordinate activities between departments to meet product development requirements.
* Simultaneously set priorities/direction for multiple programs in development.
* Responsible for working with OEM engineers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Distribution Partners and Territory Sales Managers to implement Laird provided solutions for existing, qualifying new and next generation and cost reduction programs.
* Keep work skills current to insure Laird competitiveness in a dynamic global business environment. May require extensive travel to customer sites required providing design specific solutions.
* Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS
* Excellent time management skills.
* Proficient with solid-modeling software, preferable Pro/Engineering.

Responsibilities
The Division Environmental Coordinator (DEC) is responsible for management of environmental programs in division/departments with moderately/highly complex regulatory and operational processes. They are the liaison with manufacturing areas for environmental review, authorization, implementation and compliance of changes, whether process or regulatory.
* Champion environmental compliance efforts which include identifying permit needs, applying for and obtaining required permits, identifying permit modifications supportive of operations, and implementation of policies and management systems to ensure compliance with permit and other regulatory requirements
* Coordinate environmental activities including waste management, environmental reporting, audits, assessments, investigations, inspections by outside agencies and performance tests
* Maintain and manage the effectiveness of environmental procedures and policies. Ensure proper training.
* Evaluate the environmental impact of regulation or process changes and prepare site/departments for the changes.
* Serve as a resource for practices, programs and analysis/resolution of issues in environmental compliance, data collection, and reporting which may include complex analysis or solutions
* Maintain effective relationships and represent the site to community officials, regulatory agencies and industrial committees
* Responsible for growth and development of assigned environmental personnel and assist with training of others
* Lead environmental team(s) and provide input to the development and implementation of key environmental processes to meet broader Global HSES/Site goals with site/region impact
* Develop and submit routine reports to local and corporate management regarding activities and statistics related to environmental metrics
* Assist with budgets and expenditures related to environmental management
* Collaborate with other environmental resources throughout the company to benchmark and identify best practices
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or similar technical field, required.
* At least 2 years' exempt-level experience in development, manufacturing or environmental assignment that requires interaction with manufacturing preferred
* Demonstrated knowledge in environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting is preferred
* Proven ability to implement and execute, in a timely fashion, established plans and procedures
* Basic computer aptitude (database use, spreadsheets, word processing, presentation preparation) required; advanced spreadsheet knowledge preferred

This role emphasizes mentoring and elevating the capabilities of plant site personnel, acting as a corporate-level subject matter expert for fixed equipment engineering and inspection. Our Team
A cross-functional group of engineering professionals supporting operational excellence and projects worldwide, the INVISTA Global Engineering Team brings together discipline experts in fixed equipment, rotating equipment, piping, instrumentation and electrical systems.
The Global Engineering team provides support to all INVISTA sites. While the preferred location for this position is our Houston area office, there is flexibility to work from another US location. This position is eligible for relocation.
Travel requirements range from 25% up to 50%, depending on business and site needs, with flexibility largely determined by the individual. This position offers a blended office/remote work arrangement.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

About you and this role:
Provides specialized technical support and solutions for project teams, operations and maintenance. Understands and implements Most Effective Technology (MET), work process, tools and industry best practices within their discipline. The Hardware Disciplines within Engineering and Maintenance are comprised of the following disciplines: Buildings, Civil, Electrical, Instrument, Materials, Mechanical, Process Containment Equipment and Piping. Hardware Disciplines support both projects and technical support teams as an engineer on large projects or lead for their discipline on small/intermediate projects. Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, techniques and methodology within the analytical technology discipline.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the responsible engineer for the assigned discipline scope, encompassing structural steel, concrete foundations, building envelope (MEP), piling, pipe supports, paving, grading, and drainage.
* Apply discipline work processes and best practices to the assigned scope.
* Ensure adherence to applicable design codes, Dow design criteria, applicable MET, and LPPs.
* Provide engineering inputs to designers and review 3D models and construction deliverables to ensure alignment with engineering input.

* Support construction activities by providing clarifications and technical support, such as responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings as needed.

Qualifications:
* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
* 2 years of industry experience preferred.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
